Villain was 22/6 with an AF of 1 over about 40 hands. Being crap, I didn't check his AF before I called the river. I found it very hard to place him on something that flopped hard, since the board is so drawy, but then of course he was super passive. On the flop and turn I put him on draws and draw pair combinations, and bet the river in hope of getting a call from a draw pair combo. On the river I couldn't really put him on anything that wasnt improved by that ace, so I called expected to see A6 and A4. Criticism on how the hand was read on the flop and turn is also welcomed.

TBH I have no idea as I have the same problems at this level. I think I would play it the same he may bluff missed flush draws or c/r weaker pair hands thinking you are FOS.

I would like to hear other advice.

I don't think there is another way to lay that hand. But I am betting less on the river he cannot really have a strong hand and u are betting like insaine

I think it's fine.

Interesting. Everything seems fine. Folding the river would be meh. But I suppose someone can (and will) say what villain was playing with and make it easiest fold ever. AQ? QQ? flopped set?

well played

I have a hard time putting him on a hand. Surely he would raise with a set on the turn with this board (flush draw and 3 card straight out)

yeah, slowplaying sets sounds weird. but being that passive, its not impossible?

Kinda looks like a float that hit the ace. Think calling is a good option.

You are calling 4.95 to win 14.25 so you need:
4.95/(4.95+14.25)=26% equity to call.

It's not unusual to see a passive player slowplay a set on a wet board, so you can't just rule them out, although he should be raising the flop or turn at least some of the time. You're also not going to see a player like this bluff all that often.

Even with a pretty pessimistic range though, we get these results:

I've given him all of the QQ, 77, 66, 44, AQ, A7 combos and a few random bluffs and we still have 25% equity.

The bluff combos account for times when he spazzes w/ Ax and gets his money in bad. If we also consider that at least some of the set/2-pair combos aren't going to get to this spot b/c he raises at some point, I think we can call here.
