Haven't played a huge number of hands with villain (about less than 50) but he has been quite lively. Playing quite a lot of hands, trying to steal the blinds, raising quite a bit and often folding to a 3bet. The hand before this he raised my SB and folded to my defense.

Poker Stars $0.05/$0.10 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com

UTG: $10.00
MP: $17.45
CO: $35.15
Hero (BTN): $7.30
SB: $2.25
BB: $9.70

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero is BTN with 6 6
2 folds, CO raises to $0.40, Hero calls $0.40, 2 folds

Flop: ($0.95) 3 5 4 (2 players)
CO checks, Hero bets $0.65, CO raises to $2.20

Hero ?

Is this what you'd call a WA/WB situation? As in: he's either bluffing with broadway cards and no draw or I'm crushed by a made straight/set/big pair. Ax is entirely possible too. I've got outs but my hand definitely isn't invincible.

What's my play here, is this an snap-fold or an insta-shove?

Definitely not WA/WB. You're usually sitting on 10 outs if you don't already have the best hand. If he can be making a move here with a worse hand even a small percent it's a mistake to fold this imo. Based on read I'd shove.

Considering the history and dynamics between the two I shove here. I think hes looking at you as if you are stealing IP. He doesnt want you to float him with a ton of hands so he goes for the c/r.

If we give him a standard range we're favourites, plus we have a bunch of FE.

Hand 0: 52.731% 52.00% 00.73% 43246 605.50 { 6d6h }
Hand 1: 47.269% 46.54% 00.73% 38703 605.50 { 77+, AQs+, A2s, AQo+ }

We could give him a somewhat tighter range including 33-55 and we would have around 40% equity, but would he ever check-raise those? Its a pretty weird line.

One thing that does affect your FE for sure is the fact that you arent playing with 100BB.

PF: Your own stack limits your implied odds (not by much admittedly). To call a 40c bet I'd be looking for my opponent to have at least $8. Villain has a huge stack so that isn't a problem, your $7.30 is. Buy-in for the full amount.

The check raise on the flop from villain looks a little strange to me. He wasn't expecting you to bet (you just called PF) so why would he check hoping for you to? (A bad bluff) Maybe he thinks you're just trying to take down the pot cos he showed weakness like he missed the flop with AK/AQ/AJ or something.

I don't think it's an insta-shove unless by lively you mean bluffing is a big part of his game. If he has a better overpair you're not a favourite. If he bluffs a lot go for it. If not, I'd probably call and see his reaction on the turn plus you might hit.
