My first post here

UTG was 40/18/1 over 70 hands.

Party Poker, $0.05/$0.10 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 8 Players
LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter

Hero (MP2): $10
CO: $7.70
BTN: $9.80
SB: $12.69
BB: $9.17
UTG: $13.54
UTG+1: $1.85
MP1: $13.37

Pre-Flop: K Q dealt to Hero (MP2)
UTG calls $0.10, 2 folds, Hero raises to $0.50, 2 folds, SB calls $0.45, BB folds, UTG calls $0.40

Flop: ($1.60) 5 J Q (3 Players)
SB bets $0.29, UTG raises to $0.58, Hero raises to $2, SB folds, UTG raises to $13.04 and is All-In, Hero??

Two questions really,
1) Was the three bet on the flop wise? I didn't like the idea of calling with the SB still to act and the draw heavy board.
2) Do we call or fold to the all-in? I can't see many hand's we're beating, apart from maybe an aggressively played straight/flush draw.

Any comments appreciated.

1) it's fine, these guys are making gay bets, raise them everytime
2) BUT, now you have to fold. You beat Ax

Fold is good. I don't think he's aggresive enough to bet on a draw and there really aren't any hands you beat.

I will sometimes raise KQ in middle position if people limp a lot and I haven't been raising a lot lakely. I don't think this is an authomatic raise though and it depends a lot on how the others play.
Against this single guy I think is fine.

So if there are a few limpers you'll often just call with KQ in mp?

The bet is fine--you want to give them bad odds to chase--but once villain shoves, I'd fold. Rarely will people shove without a good hand. In all likelihood villain has a set of fives, and he figured you were aggressive enough with the 3-bet to call his all-in.

I rarely call. Generally if there are no aggresive, tricky oppoents behind I raise, otherwise I fold.
I'll only call if there are many loose limpers in front - if this is the case I will have callers for sure and they are harder to put on a hand + they most likely do not fold to cbets.

I think you played it fine. I might have just called the raise on the flop though and re-evaluate on the turn. Can't call the shove here though, there's not that many hands we're ahead of, and there's a lot of hands that we currently beat that could outdraw us.
