CO I only had 4 hands on and he had limped in a could of times previously so presumably a fish. BTN was running 39/13 over 47 hands. BB was unknown he had just sat down.

Standard line? Sizing good?

I would be inclined to check/fold the river.
He's going to be pretty in line when you check.
That is, he'll bet all his better hands and check back all of his worse hands.
When you shove, I think he folds 88-TT, although he probably calls some of the time.
I don't think there's much value on the river..
And I think QQ is probably in his range for cold calling

Well played.

On a more connected flop, you should bet much bigger and jam turn vs this guy.

I don't expect a random 10NL villain to fold an overpair here getting 3/1. I would just c/f here if I thought villain folds like 88 here.

My standard would be to just bomb flop and ship turn but the flop was so bone dry I just decided to bet smaller 3 streets to widen his calling off range. That's why I was wondering about sizing also.

C/C river is probably best in case he bets 88/99, but I agree that his range is very heavy with QQ-KK. He's not calling the river with 88/99 IMO, and I'm not even sure he calls pre with those hands.

you guys are giving bad players too much credit.

39/13 guy can show up with anything here. im all for jamming the river

He's not 39/13, that's the BTN. I wonder how many other people have made this mistake.
