Villain is unknown.

Poker Stars $0.05/$0.10 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com

BB: $10.00
UTG: $2.25
MP: $9.90
Hero (CO): $10.25
BTN: $9.20
SB: $10.20

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero is CO with 8 A
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.40, 1 fold, SB calls $0.35, 1 fold

Flop: ($0.90) Q 2 2 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.60, SB raises to $1.40, Hero calls $0.80

Standard cbet, cr on a dry flop i decide to call since he's line is pretty much abc.

Turn: ($3.70) 7 (2 players)
SB checks

I kind of improve here, do i bet and try to make him fold 33-66? Or check behind and see a free river. I easily have 14 outs and could sometimes be ahead of some random sc he tried to cr on a dry flop.
Any thoughts?

Fold the flop vs an unknown.

I probably take my free card on the turn being ip.

As gateswi, fold the flop. If you hit the ace on the turn he is probably gonna fold his small pair. So you are bascially drawing to a 9 or a backdoor flush imo.

On the turn I'll just check behind and hope to catch some of my outs on the river.

I fold flop vs an unknown like 99% of the time. I just dont give much respect a cr on that flop since it's such a standard move, i usually call ip against regs/tagfish who then shutdown immediately. Wanted to find out quickly if he was one to cr dry flops with mediocre hands.
