So, vil is 57/42. I felt this shove was justified because you need to get the money from these players before someone else does. Yes, it's only over 7 hands but in my experience maniac stats like this generally are telling, even over a short sample. Too loose on my part, or justified?

Yet not justified, these guys usually have strong range when 3B, if you have see him doing otherwise then yes its justified but in general I would not shove there...
What's going to happen very often is villian folding everything but a range that beats yours

With his stack size I also tend to shove but that depends on how villian has been playing previous hands...

7 hands? Unless you have notes on this player and a history with them its never OK to do this. How can you ever get called by worse?

There are a nice amount of very bad players at NL10 at least on PokerStars. A few weeks ago there was a guy with similar stats over like 30 hands. I opened from CO with AKo he 3bet me from the BB for like 10bb. I 4bet shoved and he literally snapcalled with J7o. I lost that pot but you definitely can get called by worse at this level.

OP, only seen V has 37bbs, thought he had 100. I guess you play isn't all that bad then

If you're not willing to go the distance vs. a guy like this, you should just fold pre the first time. With a maniac in the sb, we shouldn't be r/f'ing.

VPIP: 57.14, PFR: 42.86, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 7 maybe a maniac with opening hands but his 3betting range is atm 0% ;-) thats pritty tight man

It's only 7 hands, it's pritty likely that he's only had 1 or 2 chances.

with 7 hands villian could have had 7 decent hands in a row. Maybe he's just a reg? (the stacksize kills that though, haha)

But yeah wouldn't just jam with no stats, but on the other hand its only 37bb and we can do pretty well vs villian's calling range as it could be super wide.
