Blech. You can probably rule out AA/KK based on his limp but I don't see him stacking off like this with any hands you beat after you raised PF, then CB'd and 3-bet his CR on the flop. Can this be anything other than 99? Maybe KQdd? The only way you come out on top against his range is if you include an overplayed AQ.

How about Ax, A9, AQ, AJ ? or 2 diamonds ? he's a 46/2.

If you didn't had the intention of getting it in, why did you 3bet ?

I'm never folding top 2 to a 46/2, ever.

I tend to believe he has a set in this situation, although his shove isn't inviting going 50.00 over a 7.00 bet is asking for you to fold I think. I also give the villain way to much credit (a huge leak on my part)

Effective stack is only $20 though, so only ~$11 more behind us.

eh, i dont think his range was that wide, he was a 46/2, not a 46/35 maniac. he seemed a lot more passive than aggressive and i think he would be more happy just calling me down with most of the range you listed. the range i think he shoves over with is more like A9, K9, 99 imo...maybe pair+FDs....and my intention was to get it in with him, just was an interesting spot considering how deep we were, 100bbs deep i insta snap this and dont even think twice about it. im not used to playing for stacks deep when the turn hasnt even come down yet.

Stack size and stats tell us UTG+2 is a fish who's been playing it fast and loose and running like god, and is going to get it in with any FD here and probably a few aces, so we call. We chop as often as we lose to a set

He could have a lot here..
99, AK, AJ+, A9 etc.

I don't think he has AA/KK. Only hand that really beats us is 99. I think I'd call here with top two and be happy about my call even if he shows 99.
Actually, even if he shows 99, we still have 4 outs

Some fish are loose passive pre and aggro postflop when they like their hand. And if you think he ships with the range you just said, you are ahead of most of that range right ? Ship it.

Deep hands are more interesting if you're facing a thinking reg imo. In you're case you should be happy even if you were 700bb deep imo.

you have to call because there are more hands you beat than hands who beat you.
If he has 99, that's a setup and dont worry about that

I like to make big folds with the best of 'em, but I wouldn't be folding this.

At the very least, you should not be 3bet/folding on the flop with a hand with this much value. That's just plain dumb.

If he has 99 its a cooler, once we 3-bet the flop we are 100% committed to the hand, you shouldn't be 3-betting the flop if you don't know what your doing if he shoves, and the fact that once we 3-bet we are committed.

I think you played the hand optimally.

Omg, this is pretty much like this hand I posted:

Except my opponent was not that fishy.

thanks for the responses, fwiw i snap called and only questioned myself afterwards. in retrospect questioning it might have been a little results oriented since im sure you all figured out that he showed up with 99...just wanted to make sure it was the right play to call there.

Yup. Just like that hand I posted. Except I didn't snapcall, I went into tank first.
