Villain is a 14/10 reg over 120 hands. I assumed he was competent before and during the hand and if he was then he probably wouldn't cold call a 12xBB raise with AQ. However he does have the perfect odds to setmine especially since I'm repping a monster. I just don't see anything on the flop I beat and I think at best I'm chopping with AK or I'm up against AKd. I was thinking this DURING the had fwiw so I'm not just being results oriented.

A nit is never committing themselves there with worse than AK. Although 14/10's not really a nit at FR, still tight enough that AK is chopping or behind.

when he 3bets you on flop he says clearly he want your stack. Fold. you only have TPTK. he probably hit a set here or 2paires 9T.

You basically say you were thinking you were beat, you knew you were beat and yet you jam over the flop raise? I think you need to rethink your game and realize that you were clearly not thinking this during the hand or you would have found a fold button.

Not trying to be harsh here but you basically described the hand and the correct play better then any of us could and yet you still jammed over the top.

He got TT in this spot a lot.

is it horrible to check flops in spots like these? Betting could work, but if we get called or raised from this opponent we're almost always in trouble. I don't like betting good hands where i don't want a call/raise. I'd save those bets for when i have air.

Because just calling here is ******ed when he's shoving the turn 100% of the time and during the hand I thought folding would be way too nitty.

Shoving is waaaaay worse than anything else. There's nothing villain's folding to your shove.

Folding's only nitty here when villain is an 80/60 spewtard who loves to fire huge bluffs.

Yes, calling here is awful. And shoving is just as bad, there is no such thing as to nitty in FR when facing huge aggression without a made hand.

I love it when people with those stats never, ever fold a pocket pair preflop. Even for 12 BB.

Question about this - isn't villain only calling a 3bet with JJ QQ KK AA AK? Isn't the only hand that he's feasibly reraising you post-flop with AA or AK? A 14/10 doesn't call a 3-bet with 99, TT, 9T, do they?

lol. all day they do. and as mentioned when you run into aggression your probably beat. i've called down/shoved over many nits like this knowing/feeling i'm beat and its a big leak that you have to fix.
