50/39 after 30 hands, do we reraise pre? He definitely seemed like a decent player though.
Do we just check back the flop? I bet for protection, but I'm not sure about a bet here.
As played, do we turn our hand into a bluff on the turn immediately?

Betting flop is fine for protection as you said.

Once called, I would just x it down andhope to win a small percentage of the time, don't try to bluff fish. We can turn hands like AQ, AJ into a bluff.

I don't think by betting you're "protecting" 33 in this case. V is going to peel that flop with so many different hands and pretty much every turn card is bad for you.

Therefore I would just x and hope to get to SD, fold to any bet from V.

Just take you 1 pair to showdown no need to bet the flop.

Actually protection isn't reason for betting it's is consequence of it. Our hand don't need protection if we don't have equity. We can bet here for thin bluff to fold (66-99) maybe hands like some brodways (9Ac comes to mind) and of course Cappitalizaton DM
