Poker Stars $0.50/$1 No Limit Hold'em - 2 players
DeucesCracked Poker Videos Hand History Converter

BB: $115.50
Hero (BTN/SB): $107.10

Pre Flop: ($1.50) Hero is BTN/SB with A K
Hero raises to $3, BB calls $2

Flop: ($6.00) J 8 A (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $3.50, BB raises to $9, Hero ???

Villain seems to be a weaktight reg. We were 2 tabling and it was early on in the match. He defends about 32% of bb´s and 3betting about 13% at this point. This is villains first c/r.

I decided to cbet the flop pretty small, because this is my standard sizing on monotone boards. It was also the first monotone board with me being the PFA. So villains c/r is pretty small, which made me kind of suspicious. And seeing my small sizing for the first time, it might induce some bluffs. So what do you want to do here? And what is your plan for a blank turn, if villain continues betting?

Thanks...

Call flop, call any turn non-heart, and see what he does on any non-heart river. After you've called two streets on that board he will often give up the river, unless obviously he has it, so it should be easy to fold to any river bet. Raising is also ok, it just depends on what you are comfortable going broke with against this guy. Obviously TPTK is teh nutz in heads up, and you have position, but your already losing to his two pairs, and his flush draws/straight draws have quite a lot of equity against you, so generally I'd prefer not raising the flop.

Great minds think alike

Always a good feeling when you are about to do something, and realize someone's already done the work. If only online poker could get regulated....
