i dont think its an easy call. more info needed really imo, all we know is he is very passive player and he has raised us on turn and potted river. doesnt sound promising!! I think a fold is prudent.

I also like leading flop btw.

super standard call. generally speaking, the longer someone takes to bet, the more likely it is a bluff. if they are thinking players, they are taking the time to put you on a range and decide what hands they can get you off of. if they have a hand they are confident in, they may tank but it's usually not for that long.

Also, the flop was very drawy. A lot of draws that would want to c/r there are going to bet out the turn and reassess the river.

I'm a bit surprised everyone thinks its a superstandard call. My thinking was generally that his range is very likely compromised of mainly made hands/air (as opposed to draws) because he would bet a FD on the turn if he'd raise it on the turn. So do we think this is just total air a solid % of time?

Yeah, the time down to almost nothing and then pot is like 80% nuts from a bad player. I call anyway because he's representing not many hands, but I could see a fold.

I don't think that there's much difference between calling with like 9T here or KJ, and I call with both of those hands. I think that this is either a hand like 66 or T8, 78 that he checked the flop with because worse hands aren't calling him and better hands aren't folding, or he has complete air. So given that, any pair is a call here really.
