in my everlasting quest to spew in new and creative ways...how does this look? i figure my hand looks like nothing but a bare A or K of spades most of the time. a set never pushes here, and ive been very aggressive at this table.

UTG+1 is 28/9/1.5 over 113
Button is 12/6/2 over the same

im a brisk 18/11/6 over the same

an orbit before this was this hand...(SB was same villian as UTG+1 in the real hand)

Pretty bad. I pot it and, obv, get all-in to a raise.

When you overbet like this, you are just forcing your opponents to play correctly. That's not maximizing EV.

It feels great when these plays work, but its not maximising value. Don't be scared of tough decisions on later streets, you are a good player and tough decisions are where you should be earning your crust. Bet $14 or so on the flop and go from there!

excellent point

he's calling with like 3 hands that you beat and like 8 that you don't and he's folding everything else

awww...u think ima good player

so this more -EV than i thought. just figured it wudnt look like anything big, and wud get called with any Q, sometimes a J, and most everytime the As/Ks. any P+D is calling im thinkin...so rly...no1 likes it? even a lil?

You are over-thinking this and giving too much credit to your opponents (you're assuming they can reliably read you as going all-in with a semi-bluff).

The reason why the first hand and second hand are extremely different scenarios your all-in is a 3-bet while the second one is just a continuation bet. Not the same thing.

i understand that. and in that thinking, u are over-thinking the logical thought process of our opponents. ppl see pushing, they think fish. they generally dont categorize the situations in which that pushing happened...just that the actual action happened

(not being rude..just sayying)
