Villain is TheAngriestFrog on FT. I've been playing 40/25ish and have been 3betting about 10%. PT3 says villain 3bets 10% as well.

VIllain was caught earlier 3b'ing 85, but flopped the straight.

How does everyone play this? I figure by raising the flop, he pushes with JJ+ and probably folds weaker Ts and pockets. Since I have the Ace, i'm not too worried about AK and am willing to lose a buyin if he hits a 3 outer.

For the best line, depends on the dynamics you have in 3-bet pots, gameflow etc. I can see raise/calling the flop against some opponents but calling is fine. Turn is def a call once you call flop. I don't think he's ever bluffing on the river as played. KT is like the bottom of his range on the river, unless the match has been crazy aggro (I can't really tell from the stats, don't use a HUD so don't have a feel for them).

Actually he could have a small subset of hands that picked up a heart draw on the turn that bluffs the river. But I think each heart combo we add that can bluff the river is 'canceled out' by the same diamond combo that has us beat. The rest of his range is a better hand (except KT) v-betting imo so fold looks rite.

I just realised we have the Ad so my last paragraph isn't true, there will be more missed hearts bluff combos than diamond combos on the river making it closer to call.

This player is competent from my experience, but i have no idea about his 2x barrel tendencies. I think pf and flop are great, and I'm usually shoving over the turn.

I dont understand why you dont fold preflop with this particular hand against this tight of a player that 3 bets you? As played I dont understand not* raising the flop and taking it down/folding to a shove? I dont understand not shoving turn either ......What am I missing?

yeah i probably jam the turn because a bunch of hands just turned outs against you (87, QJ, KJ, KQ, any hearts) and there are many hands i could see a solid player firing the turn with to get you off of broadway aces or pairs under 99.

against a tight player who only 3bets 10% and bets this turn, im not super fist pump happy about getting it in, bc i dont think he has worse tens almost ever, but im certainly not folding with two flush draws on board and a T9 two straight.

i think the problem with calling the turn is that there are so many bad rivers, you've basically committed yourself to the pot already and you have no idea if he's capable of firing 3 shots with busted diamonds, hearts or straight draws.

i probably play the flop the same way.

i also usually fold pf with this hand unless he's been going 3bet crazy. it just plays so poorly against their range and most of the time you flop >2 pair, if you get action, you're probably crushed.
