The ama theorem:

"If you are minraised on the flop, you are way behind your opponent, have no fold equity, and must carry this assumption throughout the rest of the hand"

Villain is 40/20/1 over 39 hands. He's a donkey, but hasn't really caught my attention.

Poker Stars, $0.05/$0.10 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 4 Players
LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter

SB: $13.05
BB: $11.65
UTG: $13.95
Hero (BTN): $16

Pre-Flop: K A dealt to Hero (BTN)
UTG folds, Hero raises to $0.40, SB calls $0.35, BB folds

Flop: ($0.90) 6 K T (2 Players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.70, SB raises to $2, Hero calls $1.30

Turn: ($4.90) 5 (2 Players)
SB bets $2, Hero calls $2

River: ($8.90) K (2 Players)
SB bets $8.65 and is All-In

The miniraise on the flop is kinda like the ama theorm, but it's more than 2x my bet. At the flop, I'm putting him on a set, or KQ/Kx but then once the turn blanks, villain still doesn't seem to want to bet a large enough amount to make me committed by the river. Should I be thinking he's still "slowplaying" a set or that he has Kx?

i'd call the river bet pretty quickly. aa is very likely, as is kj/kj/any k. sure he has a boat sometimes, but you're ahead a fair amount too. i wouldn't hate a 3bet on the flop either, but since it's so dry and you're 130bb deep calling and seeing what he does on the turn is fine.

Wat. When I get minraised on flop I instantly put them on a weak made hand and proceed accordingly. In this case shove the turn. 3bet flop and get it in is fine too. River is a dream spot are you slowrolling?

I think this hand is well played if you call river.

wow wat? I would think a mod wouldn't have a theorum that sux. Flop minraise means alot of different things from different players. In this spot I like calling the flop, and I shove the turn all day long.

A Mod doesn't have a theorem that sux ... but a young kid once decided to publish a theorem stating this a bit over a year ago. I dunno if he still stands by his theorem, but I doubt it (Also games where different back then CiB wasn't in vogue for example )
