villain never raised preflop, but led out a lot when checked to. Therefore I ch/r him. I would have probably folded the turn, if he had come over the top of me (even being commited to the pot). I checked river showing that I was weak to induce bluffing from draws if there were any. How do you like that line?
and is it std to valuebet the turn or to play for pot control without good reads?

I think I would just lead the flop because it's so gross if he checks back. And as it's played, just check the turn, c/c a safe river.
