Lazy,

pic you posted is fine. That or a lighter color would work.

GCG,

don't really dig the shirt.

exactly LT.

Sweet thanks guys. Actually really digging polos lately love how they fit and feel. Probably gonna pick up a few more in the next week or so.

Henry, how can colour be that important? I'm white but exhibit varying degrees of tanness over the course of the year. I realize if you're super dark vs. super pale then there are things you can and cannot wear, but I'm about this tan most of the year, and this is about my hair colour.

lol, said this exact same thing in chat wrt to skin tone and color with clothes. A few people couldn't comprehend how this is actually relevant and anyone with a good sense of style understands this.

GCG, remember that polo from last night? That color would work for me, but it wouldn't work for a lot of people.

Also you are going to post that plaid shirt and make fun of Carhartt? Huge contradiction here.

Pride parade?

Gus I understand that there is obviously a difference - black skin goes with some colours, tan skin with others, pale skin with others. But I don't think there is such a huge difference between one shade of non-super pale, non-super tan white skin, and another shade of non-super pale, non-super tan white skin. Like pretty much all year I am within a couple shades of the pic I posted above.

gus is black?

Shirt looks fine for casual wear. Would prob look cleaner minus the epaulets but w/e

When is the proper occassion to wear fitted t's?

Can they successfully be worn to parties, hanging out on campus ect...

Borders,

I love the epaulets. Why don't you like them?

Def worn on campus, and can be done at the right parties - usually bigger parties with more drinking and drinking games. If it's warm most people will be wearing t shirts anyway, and you don't wanna get a nicer shirt covered in beer.

Okay I'm just trying to figure out the best style for me currently since my job is ending and I pretty much wear that same s*** everyday and didn't go out much this summer.

So I'm trying to get an idea of things to wear to parties mostly like how you described gcg so t's seem good.

Something like this

08-18-2011 , 05:40 PM
dont wear tshirts with logos like that imo
08-18-2011 , 05:40 PM
So just stick to plain white/black t's?

fitted ts are fine almost anywhere. that's what i wear when i'm just hanging around, going out to lunch, going over a girl's place, etc. no need to get decked out if youre just hanging around.

GCG's and fishmeout's advice is credited. graphic ts are generally a bad idea but there are some styles that are acceptable, imo (urban outfitters comes to mind) but again these should only be worn when youre hanging out on campus or whatever.

no more colours are fine. just make sure it goes well with your skin colour. orange will probably look bad on you, for example.

I've seen those shirts before they look pretty decent. I think white t's actually can look decent when you're in class as you said or out shopping but I have an inner rap style to me lol

interesting that can't be good as I have some Hurley and O'Neil graphic t's but nothing too flashy like Ed hardy or affliction s***.

Gonna go shopping in a couple day so I'm just trying to figure out a game plan.

I plan on starting to wear mostly jeans again now that summer is almost over so I'm just trying to get the best style of shirts to go with them.

lol @ magnolia heather. i really hope you don't own that one.

is it standard to wear mostly heathered tees these days? i'm hesitant to buy more cause i don't wanna be "that guy" like, the dude that has 7 different polo/express/abercrombie shirts that all have the same logo just in different colours. that's tacky. but is it normal to have mostly heathered shirts as opposed to just a solid colour?
08-18-2011 , 05:55 PM
I prefer heathered, and i bought a magnolia last night, if i dont like it i wont wear it, its 10 dollars.
08-18-2011 , 05:56 PM
So whats the optimal shirt to wear out to a pretty decent sized party with jeans and a pair of nikes?
08-18-2011 , 05:57 PM
well not w a pair of nikes, but yeah.

i also might just wear a ss polo if i wanna look a bit better than everyone else but it depends on mood and the crowd there.
