Just wondering if there are any students studying in Glasgow on this forum? I'm at Strathclyde Uni. in second year. Anyone playing poker for consistent income/instead of a job or even paying for your accommodation/fees? Anyone regularly play live? Would be good to hear from anyone from the surrounding area also.

good casinos are the Alea and Gala either side of the river

im at uni on the other side of Scotland but grew up near there. get a good internet connection for grinding online in either student halls or your flat, cash games are pretty juicy at both those venues if your looking to grind live.

as far as live tourneys go your better to try and satty in to the bigger ones online such as UKIPTs and GentingPS

Yeah, only ever played two tourneys at the Gala in the city centre. Didn't really get much going in either mind you but I might go back in the future. Don't really have the bankroll for many of the live tourneys, and I'm not sure if it would be worth my while playing in a UKIPT if I did get a satellite (usually just sell the ticket for T-money) Ever played in one? What uni are you at currently?
