Does anyone have Ruckus available to them for free at their school? If so, How do you get the songs from Ruckus onto ITunes? Thanks

Ruckus was the greatest thing to ever happen to me. I use a program called TuneBite to convert the songs ($25), but there are some free ones. Ruckus FTW, seriously.

ya ruckus is teh nuts

anyone with an .edu address can get ruckus for free

It looks like it's only free if you're a student. I'm a staff member at a university, so I have an .edu address, but the web site is telling me there's a $9.99 monthly fee after a three-day free trial. Of course they didn't say anything about that until after I made an account and confirmed my email address.

(I'm not sure if they have any way to verify whether you're actually a student. So maybe you could just lie about it.)

So everybody uses Tunebite?

I use it.

World heavy weight champion horrible software for current stuff people actually use.

You're right you do have to be a student to get it for free. I'm sure you could skate by with your edu address and pretend to be a student.

Man, I had no idea you could convert the songs to get them onto and iPod. I've wasted sooo much time.

Are you guys actually paying for a program to take off the DRM?

You DO realize that there are free programs out there that the do the same thing right?

It is against the rules of 2+2 to post such information here, but here's a hint. Google "take off DRM from WMA" (just some random search I made on google). You'll find the name within the search results that will help you get some FAIR USE out of your protected wma's.

I nearly came when I found out about TuneBite. Best digital friend a college student can have.

If only it worked with Macs...

First time I actually regretted buying MacBook was when I found out Ruckus didn't work.

once you open itunes, go to add folder and find the tunebite folder. you can just add the entire folder each time, it won't add songs that you already have.

Thanks man. I figured out like 2 seconds after I posted I could drag and drop my converted songs into ITunes.
