Adventures in moving: pt 2

Last night I got home and opened boxes (didn't unpack them ldo, just looking) until I found enough stuff that ensured I could take a shower this morning and have a pillow + blanket to sleep on. I had parked in a 2 hour zone (no choice, all parking around where I live is like that) that takes effect at 8am since I don't get my reserved parking spot till Sunday. This was okay because I had an appointment with Comcast to come set up my internets between 8 and 10am, so they'd wake me up by 10 and I could move my car (or hopefully be done w/ the whole thing and leave for work by then).

I wake up. It's 12:30pm. No phone calls. I call Comcast and ask wtf. They're like "we have you scheduled for an appointment next Wednesday between 2 and 4pm." Yeah, because I would schedule an appointment between 2 and 4pm 25 miles from where I work during the middle of the workday. I ask her where in the city I work I could drop off my existing equipment so they can deactivate service at my previous address. She gives me an address. When I leave work to grab lunch I drive over there. There's a large man sitting out front. I park across the street, grab the equipment, walk over. Turns out the large man is a bouncer there to keep people from harassing the ladies that work inside or something. The store that I was just told this morning I could take my stuff to is permanently closed.

On the bright side, I did not get a parking ticket for being in a 2 hour zone for 5 hours after it took effect...yay?

well my messy sleep sched is going to catch me tomorrow. i have to be up in 3 hours to play (see: carry my team) in a golf tournament. starts at 8am. since "going to bed" i've watched 2 poker training vids and 2 episodes of Mad Men.

BTW, if you're not watching Mad Men then you stink. I'm just catching up now and boy howdy it's awesome.

also my roomate got "wasted" off 8 corona and limes and threw up all over the ktichen table...who the **** gets that wasted off 8 coroonas, I proably had lik e9 shots of so co and 4 shots of pomegarante burnetts and am fine...

Thats because coronas are just nasty. I struggle to finish just one.

I hate that "sleeping in" now means "sleeping til 9" -- I'm still hammered. wtf?

also, do I owe karak 100 somewhere? I should prolly settle that up. My FTP is being gay though. Anybody else having problems? Mine says "software update" and then gets halfway through it and stops. I redownload software and same ****. I emailed support yesterday, but everybody knows how AWESOME they are. Thoughts?

I had the same problem with my FTP. Uninstalled everything, including from the registry and redownloaded and got it to work.

Super random..but I think my cat may be vegetarian. I've tried giving him practically every type of meat/fish/shrimp and he doesn't eat it. For some reason this upsets me.

also, i want to work 3rd shifts. other than hotels, what sort of places have 3rd shifts?

When I was looking for a job I would usually go to the the website of the places you wanna apply for and fill out an application online, or I physically go to the location and ask them.
