probably the student union first. if they can't help you they'll at least point you in the right direction.

Treated wrongly by whom?

There's a rough pecking order, so it's important to know where we're starting. Also can you give a rough idea of your year/situation? Meaning, are you a good student/gpa? Are you involved in anything? Have you had prior disciplinary problems? What's the (rough) nature of the crime & punishment? With whom have you spoken about this (at the school) so far? Any other relevant details (while retaining your anonymity)?

Booked a trip to Phoenix for spring break on Priceline.

Discovered today that I hadn't booked it for March 14th as I thought...I booked it for February 14th. ****.

Despite the non-refundable nature of Priceline, I called them up to plead my case anyway, and got my flight canceled...for a fee of $150. ****, that's over half of what I was paying to fly to Phoenix to begin with.

Such a dumbass mistake.

On my road trip this past summer, I was spamming priceline for hotels regularly (and I had my gf so we each put in requests and got a ton of bites at the apple, so to speak), and I oops-ed and on Wed, I double booked (2 different hotels) for a Thursday night stay. So, we drove to the town on Wed, a day early, and I went to the one hotel, explained my gaffe (actually, I said that I embarrassingly booked the wrong night), and they said no problem and switched me over to Wednesday. Never had to involve Priceline. I was surprised and pretty pleased. Sucks to hear that though, LKJ.

Hahahaha so much fail. That's one of the dumbest things I've heard in a while. Are you being serious or trolling?
02-11-2011 , 03:36 PM
Serious.

Not really that difficult of a mistake to make when the days of the week are identical between February and March, which doesn't happen any other month. Just got used to clicking the 14 as my departure date on the little calendar, on a Monday, while trying various sites for best fare. Apparently must have forgotten to change the month on that one when I got to Priceline that day.

Still very frustrating to flush $150.

Has anybody ever heard of tying a knot in a condom after you get done with it? Kinda like tying a knot in a balloon. I've done this for a long time and have gotten weird looks on more than one occasion. I'm honestly just trying to keep from making a bigger mess, but I get looked at like I'm the weirdest dude on the planet sometimes.

Standard? Strange?
02-11-2011 , 04:52 PM
How cute you make balloon animals for your girlfriend. Do you have to make airplane noises to get her to open up her mouth too?
02-11-2011 , 04:54 PM
Ok so here's the basic laydown with me.

I already wrote about this one before on here but anyway, a month into school I was approached by my RA who I thought was pretty chill at the time, she says to me
"hey sam, I hear you have a fake id. Do you mind showing it to me, I promise not to get you in trouble, I'm just curious as to what it looks like."

I am trying to build a trustful relationship with her, so I show it to her. She looks at it gives it back to me, and I think thats the end of it. Week later, she tells me some ******** story how she told a friend that one of her residents had a fake id. That friend told the head RA person, and now she has to report me under orders from her boss. A fake id is 5 points at my school (10=kicked out). I wind up getting 5 points for this fake id. This just pretty much proved to me that my RA is just a horrible person, and never to trust her again. Before I met with the dean about the fake id, she also wrote up me and 3 friends for drinking while watching monday night football in my room, which resulted in me getting another 2 points. (now at 7, yippee!)

Fast forward to last Sunday, Superbowl ****ing Sunday. Me and a friend come back to my dorm pretty wasted at 11:20 (hour after game ended). He knocks on her door and says in a loud voice, "What up K-Dog." I haven't done **** at this point btw. She comes up and says shes writing us up, he says **** you to her and we keep walking. She sends in report, we had to meet with the dean today. I still haven't done **** btw. Dean is a complete ****ing *******, really just scum of the earth kind of guy, and somehow manages to say that I am guilty by association, even though I didn't do jack ****. He says that I'm lucky he hasn't sent me home, and that next time he sees me, i'm packing my **** up and leaving. (Still don't know what my punishment will be for this stint- it doesn't fall under the points system).

So to sum up, I had a fake id, was caught drinking beer in my room while watching mnf, and was with a loud drunk friend after quiet hours. This somehow culminates in me having 7 points and being 1 strike away from getting kicked out. My RA is ****, she goes around looking for kids to bust, whereas other RA's don't go looking for trouble, and their halls are points free.

So, wtf do I do? The dean is making up his own rules pretty much (couldn't find guilty by association anywhere in the student handbook), and my RA is powertripping hardcore, but she did **** up when she told me she drank 2/3 of a fifth of rum in her room last saturday. I wrote a letter to the dean handling RAs, and she said she'll look into it, but won't be able to tell me what happens because of privacy laws. I'm putting a copy of the letter I sent in below.

Dear Housing Department,

I am a resident on the 3rd floor of Harris Hall. My resident assistant is XXXX. XXXX and I have had our differences, which have involved her sending in three reports about me. I understand these circumstances involved her fulfilling her duties as a resident assistant. However, I do not believe that she should be allowed to continue being a resident assistant. Last Saturday, February 5th, Katie approached me in the hall and told me that on the previous night she had drank 2/3 of a fifth of alcohol all by herself in her room (she told many other residents the same story). Now I believe this is a serious problem. Legally, she is not 21 years of age, and morally, she should not be the one sending in reports of residents for drinking when she herself consumes alcohol on the hall. I hope to receive word back from you on how this issue will be resolved.

Sincerely,

Sincerely,
You have no leg to stand on, regardless of how ****ty the situation is or how wronged you feel. Just don't get in any more trouble, and you'll be fine. Having a vendetta against your RA makes you look bad, not her. Plus, if other RAs find out you were trying to get your RA fired, guess what happens next year the first time any small incident occurs...

Just learn from the situation and try to make the best of it.

edit: and lol @ going to the President of the U. You'll be laughed out of the office. Your email will be screened and never passed on to him/her if you email. Just let this one go, dude.

tying knots in condoms is definitely not standard afaik. i'd ask my friends if they think its weird but i feel like they'd think i'm trolling so no.
and twelve, pretty sure you're just ****ed in this situation. it sucks you had to find out in that manner that your RA is a pos but it happens. just try and ignore her and be over it.

or you could always break into her room and plant coke / booze / dead prostitutes and turn her in.

or seduce her and bust her for having relations with a resident.

twelve year old, what positive thing do you think would come from your friend hitting her door and yelling in her room (likely after quiet hours were in effect)?
