Hmm you might be in the same building as a friend of mine, although he's moving to NYC at the end of the month. Is that in the arena district? Does the first floor have standard one bedrooms? Or is the whole building lofts?

There are some standard one bedrooms. Its Arena District/Short North

Definitely can squeeze a TV and computer/desk in a tiny room. Your TV would probably have to go on your dresser. I have a computer and desk and my TV sitting on my dresser. There is no room for chairs other than my computer chair, however. My room is probably about 12'x10'.

Probably gonna be copping this Canvas for my room soon, I like maps so it works

Also thinking about something like this

Speaking of art, saw this in an old OOT thread:

https://www.dna11.com/images-gallery

Can get your DNA into a painting. Its near 700$ for the big one(although 25% off today, or so it says only today), so I will probably wait a little, but think it would be sick.

Tony: Like the map, not a fan of the other two.

This is currently the only "art" I have in my place.

http://society6.com/segmentsdesign/m...key_print#1=45

The medium 22x18 canvas.

Need more. May order something today.

I'll be bumping this thread in a week or so when I move in... Will need some classy **** as the place has real nice granite counter tops, designer inspired bathrooms, and a fireplace

Here is some of the art I have up in my place. The first 2 are actually pretty big, probably about 4 feet long and 3 feet wide.

Are these framed, canvas or what?

Yeah they are all framed, those images are just ones I googled of them not the actual ones hanging up in my place.

The 2 big ones are custom framed, which can be very expensive as I found out. However, when done right can actually add a ton to the picture or art whatever it is..

They are also high quality graphic prints, not paintings.

In a vacuum I like that but you definitely have to have a certain style for it to fit

OK finally getting settled in.

Need some ideas for what to put over the fireplace. Gotta get some kind of table for the couches too. Whole place is super modern, apologies for the **** pictures as its late and I'm lazy.

Living space:

TV is parallel from the Paris picture.

Here's a shot of the kitchen table, bar, and kitchen:

And some ****ty bedroom pics... Light glare ftl :

Might try to find some smaller movie posters to put with the rocky one.

not a fan of the monitor/tv in bedroom and the thing it sits on. rest looks good especially for being a new place.
08-02-2014 , 01:43 AM
Yeah its just a desk. I don't have a desktop so it was the only piece of furniture I had to put the TV on
08-04-2014 , 04:45 PM
Lookin solid. Like that bar/island area a lot.
08-04-2014 , 05:44 PM
Living room looks great, as does the bar area (with the partially open kitchen). Really like that, and looks like you have a bunch of decent barware already.

Not a huge fan of the cowboys thing and the movie posters (think that's kinda lol), but that's a personal preference thing. Place looks awesome overall.

So I have an unfinished basement where people are drinking/partying/etc. The space is set up pretty nicely with furniture. Anyway, I'd like some ideas for what to put up on the walls. The space is pretty much only used at night, so also maybe some lighting ideas as well. We have some colored rope lights hung up in one section right now, but I'm sure there is some cool lighting that can be incorporated as well.
10-20-2014 , 02:42 PM
The obvious answer is some neon bar lights/sign
10-20-2014 , 02:52 PM
Also a legit dartboard
10-20-2014 , 03:24 PM
Life size poster of Gus Johnson obv
10-20-2014 , 04:19 PM
with a photo montage of gus's most memorable calls that takes up an entire wall
10-21-2014 , 12:48 PM
I kinda do like the dartboard idea. Seems like there are decent ones for $50. Anyway, Google was mostly turning up ridiculous ideas on how to finish out a basement or semi-finish and pay thousands of dollars. Guess I'll keep searching, but basically I need something cool for the wall when people walk down the stairs instead of just looking right at a concrete wall.

Not a fan of those huge city canvas thingys but to each their own of course.
10-21-2014 , 07:13 PM
Could always turn the entire thing into a chalkboard. THere are still pics floating around the wall in my place senior year of undergrad with the wall. Always a hit.
10-21-2014 , 07:32 PM
I've done a chalkboard type thing in two places. Always been a huge hit.
