Burko,

It's pretty hard to get better at the arguments section. There are a few tricks for reading comp, and a ton for logic. I think a realistic goal for you would be 158-160, but it's going to require a ton of work.

Fly,

+1. On my actual LSAT I missed FIVE consecutive reading comp questions!!!! That was almost half the questions I got wrong on the entire test.
04-23-2008 , 10:44 AM
but if your goal is 158-160, where are you going to law school?
04-23-2008 , 11:02 AM
A friend of mine got a 157, and got into NORTHWESTERN. True Story

No, I mean which law schools value LSAT higher in their lsat/gpa balance in relation to other schools.

Here are my top 5 choices right now

Ohio State U 3.34-3.81 158-164
U Cincinnati 3.39-3.87 157-162
Loyola (Los Angeles) 3.22-3.65 159-163
U Southern California 3.46-3.72 165-167
UCLA 3.54-3.85 163-169

GPA is ~3.6 From Cincinnati
Boils down to LSAT

must gogogogogo

OK, get realistic. You're not going to get into USC, UCLA, or (probably) Ohio State.

Understand that at those other schools your job prospects are going to be severely limited unless you dominate (which there are signs you won't).

I'm not trying to be mean; it's better you know this before you invest a lot of time and money.

-3.3 1L GPA
-3.8 2L Fall GPA

-Very personable, good interviewer

Still looking for a summer job.

I will say that we are both apart of the same (supposedly) URM group. I didn't get into any school that was even near Northwestern, even though my LSAT was significantly higher than hers.

Does anyone know?

Um, Florida State apparently values it a lot higher than all of the lower-ranked schools that rejected me. I'm not sure what you're looking for, admissions are a case-by-case basis.
Our source for general information would be the same matrix .pdf that you already said you looked at, what more do you want?

Did she have a campus visit/interview? Maybe she blew them away.

No. No she did not. I have no idea what it was that she did to get in (it was probably fellatio-related...right?)

Perhaps her personal statement was an 8x11 of her deep throating a cucumber, maybe with a post-it "Maybe you? XOXOXO".

Either way, god I hate Con Law. My professor has these insane views that require us to remember which random concurrence he thinks was right(after misreading it) and apparently the test is graded on how strictly you agree with said crazy interpretations.

I didn't say I saw this, where can I find it? I just said I looked at LSN, where you can punch in numbers.

It is definitely easier to improve your logic games score. I've been 0 or -1 on all the games sections of practice tests and have been scoring in the low 160s. I'm really trying to get 170+ any ideas?

Look for a school that has a low median LSAT compared to its US NEWS ranking. You might think this means they don't value it, but it probably means its something they are currently working on increasing.

It's the Boston College grid, which I imagine what the LSN punch in thing is running off of.

Just finished my 1st final this semester. Property. Fixtures, component parts, integral parts, immovables, movables, tax implications, ahh!!!!! Feels good to be done.

On a side note, why are some of my classmate studying after taking a beast of a 4 hour final?
04-23-2008 , 09:04 PM
remi,

WTF kind of property class did you take? I have no idea what any of that **** is.

How about adverse possession, rule against perpetuities, treasure trove?
04-23-2008 , 09:11 PM
Civil law property

our version of adverse possession is called acquisitive prescription
