WSOP ME Registration problem WSOP ME Registration problem

hey guys

I have a problem. I won a WSOP Main Event package on the Ipoker network and it seems that they want to register me themselves to the Main Event. Isn't Harrah's policy that no third party registrations are allowed? They won't even give me wsop chips to play whatever event I want.
Can they actually register me to the $10.000 donkament altough I don't want to? I rather play 3-4 events and try the 1k super-sats for the ME.

What do you guys think?

I'm pretty sure Harrah's accepts 3rd party registrants from legal companies. If you didn't want to play the main event you should have not played a tournament that awarded a seat in the main event.

Yes, they can actually award you what you won.

They allow 3rd party registrations to sites who don't do business with the US.

i played coz i was sure i was gonna get the $ or wsop chips just like all the big sites do. stars, ftp and the others can't register a player to wsop and i didn't realize it might be different with the euro sites.

Flush, do you live in the USA, or someplace else? If USA, you might have a way out, otherwise, yes, if you live elsewhere, and you won your package from someplace that does NOT do business with US Residents, then I think that the WSOP does take 3rd party registrations in that kind of situation.

The WSOP registration page states:

"Third-party registrations for players are not permitted unless submitted by Official WSOP sponsors; Official WSOP promotions or product licensees. No third-party registrations will be accepted from online gaming sites conducting business with U.S. residents. For more information regarding third-party entries please contact Angele Marshall by email at anmarshall@harrahs.com."

I wanted the company sponsoring me for a WSOP event to pre-register me, but they said they can't since they are not an official WSOP sponsor, promotion or licensee. Unless Ipoker is one of the above, I'm surprised that they can pre-register you.

this situation is soooooo ridiculous. and what's even more gross is the fact that they have no support whatsoever. i actually can not talk to anyone capable of giving me a correct answer. and it's even more complicated because i want to leave earlier, in about a week and the funny thing is that they didn't even bother to pay me the plane&hotel money. prolly they'll pay 3 days before the ME. or maybe it's their strategy to give me wsop chips 2 days before the ME so i can shove them in my ass. :/

I know when my friend won through Party Poker in 05 that they literally handed him 10k in chips at the Rio cage the day before the main event.

The buy-in+registration fees - $10,000+$350 - taken care of. You go to
the registration desk at Harrah's and all will be in order.
can't i unregister from the cashier? coz i know that if i would have payed for it, i would have been allowed to unreg. so... does it matter that some1 else paid for me?

That's a really good question, but you're going to just have to find out for yourself, I think.

How do they come up with $10,350, it's 9400+600.

You need to read the fine print of iPoker and find out what your options are if you don't want to use the seat. The WSOP may allow you to cancel as it states on its website, but you may be violating the terms and conditions of iPoker. I know one winner who was too chicken to use his $10,000 seat, so he gladly accepted a ridiculously low buy-out offer from the sponsoring company. Per Kevmath's post, you should also find out why they are taking an extra $350 from your prize package.
