I saw another billboard last night on the way back from a rockshow. On 35E northbound, north of 635, Farmers Branch/Carrollton area. "Your Source For WSOPC Action" I think. Can't remember the exact wording, though I recall Action is correct.

Any chance someone can post pics of any of the billboards they see?

Comparison of the WSOPC $350 vs. The River $2100 structure--------------------------4 hours wsopc 50 200 400---- winstar 50 200 400
6 hours wsopc 100 500 1000---- winstar 100 500 1000
8 hours wsopc 200 800 1600---- windstar 200 1000 2000
10 hours wsopc 500 1500 3000---- windstar 500 3000 6000
12 hours wsopc 1000 3000 6000---- windstar 2000 7000 14000
14 hours wsopc 2000 5000 10000---- windstar 3000 12000 24000
16 hours wsopc 3000 8000 16000---- windstar 5000 20000 40000

A WSOPC $350 tourney levels start at 30 minutes and increase to 40 minutes, 50 minutes and 60 minutes and the WSOPC main event levels start at 40 minutes and increase to 50 minutes and 60 minutes and starts with 20,000 chips while the "River" is a constant 40 minutes with 10,000 chips.
The "River" a $2100 main event structure is worse than a $350 WSOPC preliminary tourney and not even in the same ballpark as the $1600 WSOPC main event after 10-12 hours of play the "River" will quickly become an "all-in feast" so how can anyone with any knowledge of tourneys say the "River" is a better tourney unless you like "crap shoots".
Interesting comparison. Thanks

Bracelets are given out to the winners of events at World Series of Poker each summer in Las Vegas and at the WSOP Europe. WSOP Main Event bracelets are even nicer.

Circuit Rings are given out to the winners of the Circuit Events (generally the 12pm events with a buy-in over $300) Circuit Main Event Championship Rings are even nicer

Excellent question. The structure sheets contain all the additional information. Here is the link: http://www.wsop.com/pdfs/WSOPC/2010/11302-structure.pdf

It is actually a one (1) day event. There appears to be a misprint online. Thanks for pointing that out, we'll see if we can get that corrected.

Maybe but how meaningful is it to compare a tournament about to be held with one that was held three months ago.

There is no competition between the two rooms for the same players with over 100 days between events.

Anyone want to compare entry fees and add ons? The max at WinStar was 10%. It's is significantly higher at Choctaw, as Bigtex21 has already mentioned several times in other posts ITT>

I would rather pay a higher VIG and get a good structure than just a "crap shoot" house friendly structure. And in the wsopc you do get a chance to play in a million dollar televised freeroll limited to 100 players. I for one am looking forward to the million dollar freeroll and being on TV.

But no one has to make a choice. The two tournaments are held months apart. If they were held at the same time, then people would need to make a choice. Since they are so far apart, what possible differenc does it make?
e
No one is telling you to play one or the other, if you wished, you could play both or neither.

Why the difference is so important to you baffles me.

It's like saying you would rather watch the Super Bowl than the World Series of Baseball. Months apart, very different, yet you can attend both, in person, if you wished.

Good luck in that freeroll.

Thank you on wishing me luck in the freeroll as bad as I play I need all the luck I can get. I would play in the River if they ever give a player friendly structure, just don't like to play fast structured events, they are not compatible with my style of play. Are you playing in Choctaws wsopc.

I don't have a choice as to where I can play non-NLHE tourneys, or one token PLO tourney.

These kind of posts are the ones where I feel you don't acquit yourself (or your employer) particularly well.

To be honest, it really has nothing to do with the venue. It has everything to do with Jimmy, Jimmy's structures and the staff. I have had the good fortune to play at Multiple stops on the circuit and the TJ Classic in which Jimmy's team managed, and I have several more stops on my calendar. Yes, the juice is higher for these events, but you will not find a more well run tournament, a more competent staff or a better structure in any live event, period. There are incurred costs with running tournaments and typically the better the structure, the higher those costs are. As someone who plays a lot of live tournaments, I will take the extra couple of $ out of my pocket to participate in a tournament where you feel the fees actually gave you something in return.

I assume structure is the same as event 23 which shows 3k chips for $200 rebuy with single or double add on end of level 4 (thus add on: 3k chips for $200 or 6k chips for $400). This in addition to 3k starting stack for $200 plus dealer appreciation ad on 2k for $5. So...... forgetting vig and assuming no multiple rebuys 14k chips (receive 6k at end of level 4) for $800

Players under the age of 21 will only be able to play in Non-Ring Events. The Ring-Events has 1% withheld to go towards the National Points Championship in Vegas. In Vegas you must be 21 to play. Therefore, the events that have money withheld, you must be 21. You will still be able to play in the 4 pm and the nightly and of course play live action.

I just wanted to clarify this.

Why don't you let them play but forfeit their championship seat if they win one. I can still play but if I win a seat I have to forfeit it. And can't they also play in the noon non-ring events?
