Where is a good spot for breakfast nearby? I have a car so drive is ok except it did snow and I just detailed the whip.

Any breakfast cafe in harrahs next door?

If you don't wanna drive on the slushy streets around state line you can hit up American River Cafe open 24 hours in harrahs next door to harveys.

There is even a walk through tunnel.

The original red hut cafe has been my go to for breakfast/brunch. It's about 2 miles from Harvey's

Split a room for weekend? Car pool from Vegas?

I'll be coming from Vegas and I have flexible schedule. I was thinking about driving up Wednesday and staying the weekend. Playing the main for sure, and one or two of the smaller events. After the tournaments I'm up for cash games of $2/5 or 5/10. I can drive or ride and share gas / split room...just trying to cut costs.

side games have been ok, not much in terms of bigger games only have seen a few 3/5 games and didnt ever see a 5/10 go but that might have changed

Today is my rest today, but I'll resting enough to rail for you in the $580. All of my focus is playing well in the tourney that starts Noon on Friday...

I got a room 2 short-blocks away at the Jay Bird for $30 per night flat rate, no surprise taxes and no dam resort fee.

Sat down in a cash game and looked down at aces in the big blind my first hand. UTG raises 5x bb, utg+2 calls, small blind raises 3x, i minraise, UTG folds, utg+2 flats(wtf), small blind snap jams I snap call. Utg+2 tanks for a bit and throws his hand away. Small blind turns over kings and hits the one outer(someone said they folded a king) on the river to take down the massive pot. Pretty much ****ing hate Harvey's room at this point.

We just bagged up for day 1a. Sat will be a day off for me, and then I'll resume play on Sunday. I think we had like 170 players today, and we ended with around 35...LOTS of people got knocked out today.
It sounds like around 200 +/- players will be joining the tourney on Saturday. Currently the avg is around 88k, I put 92k in my bag, and the chip leader has around 265k.
