At will call you will receive pre-printed table/seat cards. You are registered and your stack will be blinded off. You have two levels to get to the table.

My whole point is that when you pre register, you don't get a seat allocation until you actually go to the will call desk, so until you get to the desk there isn't a seat to claim.

If I remember correctly, when I went to pick up my seat card and finish my online registration they (Will Call) don't have to print my seat card. It is already printed and waiting for me to pick it up in a folder. Correct me if i am wrong.

I don't think that's correct. I suspect that there is a seat already assigned but you won't get the seat card until you check in. Just because they aren't telling you your table and seat number until you check in doesn't mean one isn't assigned already. So if you don't check in or are late or whatever, they'll have alternates to fill that seat.

That doesn't make sense to me. If that were the case, how would they know which stacks to blind off or not?

Now that I reread my response, I think I could be wrong as that might be a logistical nightmare. Incidentally, given that you will be in flight B, the whole premise that the early flight will be sold out is flawed. Flight B has, by far, the fewest registrants. Given that some from flight A will move on to day 2 and the majority eliminated will either not fire a second bullet or wait until flight C or D so they can rest, I suspect B won't be sold out at all.

Hi

I paid from the UK on Wednesday last week so expect the money to have reached them by now . Does anyone know when j can expect to receive a confirmation they've received the money?

Or an email address I can chase them with?

Thanks all

I mailed my check last Monday. They received it on Thursday (certified mail). They sent me my confirmation email on Tuesday (yesterday). So 6 business days after I mailed it, I received the email.

http://www.cardplayer.com/poker-news...e-registration

So here's what Cardplayer posted last night...

"According to WSOP organizers in a media conference call on Tuesday, pre-registration has been so huge that the event, which has a $5 million guaranteed prize pool, might already have more entries than the 2006 main event, which officially still holds the record with 8,773...The WSOP’s only concern is the last flight on the last starting day—Flight D on Saturday, May 30. It will be everyone’s last chance to enter the historic tournament"

If this was an EPT thread, we'd have answers to these questions from an EPT rep. This is pretty poor from the WSOP.

Someone told me you can no longer reenter in multiple flights because they got way more people than they expected so now reentries have been disabled. Is this accurate/true?

If I arrive Friday night, May 29th, what do you think the chances are I will be shut out of both Saturday flights. I was hoping to register Friday night for flight c which starts at 10am Sat morning.

Don't believe it until any announcement on WSOP website.
But it is not happening, highly unlikely WSOP will do that.

2, Water Juice ( Mostly you will be able to get it there too.
3,Some Over the counter Medicines depending your needs like Tylenol,Advil, Alka Setzer,Listerine,Mucinex
,Thera-Flu,Vicks,Delsym,Robitussin,Halls,Lactaid,Tums,Asp irin.

4, Seat cushions ( WSOP chairs are not very comfortable. If you can carry one with you will help in long day)
5, Extra Battery pack for Phone charger.

Wear dark glasses if you are comfortable, to hide behind it as eyes are the one that gives away many tells. A Baseball cap or hooded light jacket will also good(Some time it gets very cold there in the poker room)
Well, now I know where the closest pharmacy is...

Are the flights capped at a certain number?

I have to assume that most people that have preregistered for flight D, also preregistered for at least one of the earlier flights. What percent of those people will still be live from their earlier flight and not play in flight D, 20%?

For sure based on physical constraints of tables/dealers

From Colossus Important Details PDF on wsop com, ( can't link from phone)

4600 and 4000 respectively for each 10am and 6pm start.

Then for each start another 750 for late wave one and 1000 for late wave 2

So..

Flight A & D: 6350 capacity each
B&C : 5750

PS From wsop info, looks like wave 1 will sit with 20-25 bigs on their 5k start stack and wave 2 10-15 big blinds

Correcting the above,

A&C 6350 capacity
B&D 5750 capacity

I don't think they blind you off. If you don't show up then it's like you never entered and you can get a full refund. They sure don't want more chips in the tournament than were bought.

edit: you mean two levels AFTER you pick up the seat card? How would the dealer know you picked it up so he can blind you off? Floors go around whispering in dealers ears? I would think no blinding off occurs.

Never played in WSOP before, this will be my first event during my second visit to Vegas. I am from Europe and I decided not to pre-register because of the bank fees and because I plan to arrive in Vegas way in advance - on May 24th. Probably going to play flight 1A or 1C, no plans to make a reentry.
I have a question regarding the accomodation. I currently booked Excalibur on booking.com, but there is an option for free cancellation. Can anyone tell me what are the daily charges for using internet access at Excalibur? Also is it fine to walk from Excalibur to the Rio? Any issues with this hotel for which I have to be aware about?

That's a long walk in what will likely be 38 degrees Celsius ... Very very hot. Then into very cold amazon room. Walking probably not a good idea

+1 could be an hour's walk in extreme heat.

You could take Deuce or Monorail (from MGM) up to Bally's and take free shuttle. But that is time consuming. Taxi is prob around $15 from Excalibur.

It is close to 2 miles from the Excalibur to the Rio. I would not want to walk that far even if it wasn't going to be 100+ degrees (F). A taxi ride should be around $12ish each way depending on the time of day/traffic delays.

monorail to bally's and then the free shuttle is a good suggestion.

i used to walk just about everywhere in Vegas, and that would be at the higher limit of my walking tolerance. it is pretty far.
