Hey all, not expecting a ton of responses over here, but will give it a shot nonetheless : I am presently in Lima, Peru for the next 3 months and would travel to play some tournament series of a min BI of (at least) 1k, does anyone have some info about events that I might of missed, or links?

You could also try Madero Poker series in Buenos Aires, although the BIs are ridiculously small due to the exchange rate.

The Atlantic City casino in Miraflores in Lima hosts small local tourneys and cash games. The poker room opens at 6pm.

edit : Have you played in Santiago before? Would it be easy to get money from atm's or the casino to cover both the ME and HR BI's?

Yeah, no problem in withdrawing cash from ATMs, however there is a ~$400 daily withdrawal limit per account. Another option is to use a foreign credit card at the cage in the Casino Enjoy for cash or chips, then use that for the buy ins.

The Enjoy Casino is not actually in Santiago; it's located about 45 minutes north in the middle of nowhere. There is a decent hotel attached, otherwise I think that the casino has a shuttle to/from Santiago. You may want to check it out with the hotel in advance - www.enjoy.cl/santiago/en/hotel/

There is also an Enjoy Casino that holds tourneys in the coastal city Viña del Mar, about 90 minutes from Santiago. This is the schedule with BI listed in Chilean pesos.
