Does anyone know where to find a tournament list for norwegian poker championships? I tried google, but was unable to see a tourney list.

Looking at the Hendon Mob database, the last Norwegian Poker Championship was held at the UK's Dusk til Dawn cardroom in 2009. Has there been an announcement of one taking place this year?

I might add that the Main Event in the Norwegian Championships of poker is said to be the largest national tournament in the world (i.e. the largest tournament where participation is strictly restricted to people from one country).

This is quite remarkable as the norwegian population is only 5 million.

Can I ask why it's not still in Nottingham any more in your opinions? Bad flights there/not good destination/too high rake etc.?

I dont know what everyone else/ people in charges thinks, but for me atleast its a couple of things:
Hard to get there. Had to fly to london, then take a train. Riga is under 2 hours with a plane from Oslo.
Pokerroom is pretty far away from the town. For me, poker is not my first priority (like the buyins are pretty small for a tournament you have to travel to and you have to tax out of winnings). A place where its easy to drink and go to bars/clubs is a big +.

No idea about the rake and stuff. Riga is probably alot cheaper for the organizers bc they have casino where its held and have made deals with 3 hotels where almost everyone stays.

Nottinghams pokerroom is way better for just poker though
