I think it's time to confirm the cancellation of LAPT Rosario. At this time, the LAPT page can't show something which is clearly not going to happen (20 days remaining and no sats yet).

Also, if Punta del Este will be the new destination, most of us will need to make arrangements and save the date.

LAPT has moved the previously-announced Rosario Event from Argentina to Uruguay, and pushed back the dates to August 3rd to 7th. The tournament will maintain the USD $2,500 buy-in for the Main Event, and we will have a USD $5,000 Highroller among other events. The Mantra Resort and Casino and Punta del Este have been a part of the LAPT since season one. It is an upscale destination in South America, and very accessible from both Brazil and Argentina airports. It should be a great event for players in Latin & South America, as well as internationally.

Knowing the many concerns about tax withholdings which players have expressed in the past – both in these forums and directly to me – you should all be aware that in Uruguay at this time, there is no Tax Withholding on tournament or cash game winnings, for either residents or foreigners.

I just qualified (thin brag) and look forward to meeting many 2+2ers at this event. The pics look awesome. Is food included with the package like C.R last year? I assume that we're allowed to bring a guest at no additional cost?

Hi Dan,

The Mantra Resort, Spa & Casino, is an upscale small hotel included in the quality stamp of "Leading Small Hotels of the World". This is not an all inclusive resort, unlike Playa Conchal. Punta del Este is more a luxury vacation destination for Argentinians and Brazilians mainly, and full vacation style resort (all inclusive) are not the usual.

Yes you are allowed to bring a guest at no additional cost. All rooms are double occupancy and breakfast and Wifi included. It is usually good that you let us know who will be joining you to comply with hotel procedures. The Events team contacts each qualifiers and helpt them sort out all their travel requirements.

Really wish all the online sats for Uruguay where spread out to different times of the day as it is now they all run late afternoon. Am I the only person who plays at night only ?

I think you are in tough time zone. We run them fairly late for Argentina and Brazil (8 pm or so) which unfortunately is late afternoon for you.

I won a Main Event Passport which I intend to use at the LAPT.

However, I had won an LAPT for Punta del Este previously so I will either have to use the Passport for another LAPT event or for events such as APPT or EPT.

I know you've confirmed there will be more Season 4 events after Punta del Este. Can you give some more info to help me decide? Any approximate dates? How many more events? Any candidate cities?

I know you're still working on it but any extra info would be of help.
