After complaining so much about those outside table and chairs, I have to say that actually playing a tournament inside the room was a pleasure. Really comfortable set up.

Oh well, there goes that dream. What's the point of having slots if you can't filch monies off the bottom line to hand out to sweetheart poker players? (lol)

Points = 10 * [sqrt(N)/sqrt(F)] * [(Logrithm Value)1+log(B+0.25)]

N = Number of Entrants
F = Place of Finish (1st, 2nd, etc.)
B = Buy-in Amount

Thanks for the quick reply. Can you help with a brief explanation on how to solve this? lol... Say n=250 f=1 and b=2500

Event 14 ($90+10) for 10k starting then $20 add-on for 2k is ridiculous.

Agreed. Puts players in an awkward position IMO. Feels like the right play would be to open your tourney by stiffing the dealers, but who wants to start on that kind of vibe. So I paid it. But if this becomes a trend, then I don't know if I can keep doing that.

I did not buy the add-on and ended up being in the 9 way chop.

I just don't think the dealers should be punished and easily could of been a $10 add-on just like the 100ks and majority of mtts at this buy-in.

Seems fine as long as you tip a percentage at the end

a $20 addon is absolutely absurd for a $100 buyin. The main had a $60 add-on which I've never seen before. That is a little more reasonable since it was a lot lower % of the buyin. Still a little absurd.

This new trend at the Isle scares me a little bit. The isle has always been the customer friendly player first place to play down here. It seems like bottom line is the only thing that matters lately instead of being player friendly and thinking long term.

Besides a few mainly medium with a few high stakes tournaments, they seem to be focused on very tiny tiny buyins with absurd rake. Its easier to charge a higher rake in smaller tournaments because the player pool is generally unaware.

Sigh, scary since I play cash here 4/5 days a week

Do you think the big 1ks+ should adopt a Saturday day 2 and Sun day 3 structure to cater to weekenders more?

nope i think that aspect works well. people use their day off to play day 1 on saturday and day 2 on sunday and make arrangements for monday if needed. i do think the thursday starting day needs revamping. such a small turnout, you are playing in very different conditions throughout the first day than 1b and 1c.

maybe do something like bonus for end of thursday CL

i think the 300+ buyins are fine, prob could be improved but its more frightening to see a $65 mtt going that the isle wins more than first place does.

im all for reasonable add ons as well. the dealers need to be taken care of. they are absolutely some of the best dealers in the country but lets be reasonable and think about your players and long term
