Yeah, with 40 min blinds they are definately playable. Not trying to be negative or give anyone a hard time. The championship event structure is really top notch.

They will spread any game of interest, though. The poker staff is very friendly and accommodating. You basically just start a list of interest. It gets put up on the monitors and if other players are interested they spread the game.
Last year during the tourney, the games were much more available. 5-10 NL was running all the time when I was there. There alse was regular PLO games if I remember correctly. Don't know about stud.

I agree with you Jimmy's structure does allow for lots of play and it is great that all the wsop circuits will be using it. Be nice if other TD's would jump on the band wagon.

the main event is the same time as the 2k "river" tourney in OK at the Winstar. the turnout has been really lacking the last tourney series at the beau rivage, and if someone doesnt push back the schedule a few days the main event wont get 100 ppl, and that is really sad cuz biloxi is my favorite place to travel for poker.

its mostly the field is made up of mostly ppl from the south and some ppl that travel the circuit, but im guessing about half of them, especially the recreational players. the winstar is cheaper, will have bigger prizepool, and probably an overlay. not to mention u can enter multiple day ones if u bust.

Someone plz move the schedule (at least for the main event) back a few days, otherwise it will be a bigger failure than the last two theyve had there I like biloxi and wanna play, but wont make it like alot of ppl, if the dates arent changed.

Any word on schedule changes to this series? They should just slap a rebuy or 1 rebuy 1 addon or 1 rebuy double addon to each prelim if they're not going to add 500s and at least one 1k leading up to the main event. The prelims are obviously terrible and will not attract very many players to play the main event. Obviously, it interferes with Winstar and will suffer from that as well. As it is now, I'd expect 40-60 players tops for the 5k main event (and I think I'm being generous), which is currently set as a 4 day event? It's during the beginning of WCOOP, which makes it even less appealing taking into account everything above AND the fact that it's set up as a 4 day event. I agree with everything scarface said. I live just 2 hours away, and I plan on skipping it if everything stays the same.

I love the south and usually back 5-10 players in NO, Biloxi, and Tunica when the series are worth it. This one just isn't worth putting anyone in it.

The prelims will likely average between 350-600 players per event, as was the case the last 2 times we have had this event. Last years main event (held a week later on the schedule) drew 143 players. We will likely qualify around 50-60 players into the event through satellite alone.... My guess for main event is around 130 players....

I hope you're right, Johnny. I will likely attend the main event last minute. The prelim strategy is bad though regardless of how many they get. These circuits need at least a 500/1k or two leading up to the 5k to give non-locals more incentive to come in for the main event.

Judging from past years, I'd be very surprised if any of the prelims don't have at least 300 runners. The local player base is large and loyal, but you already know that, JG.

I would say Tyler has a great shot, as he plays well, and moves his chips around great...

That said, if recent performance in Missisippi is the predictor, I would say Chad Brown. He has won or final tabled as many or more tournaments, and actually beat Tyler heads up last year for the title at this event. I would like to see the odds on a prop bet of with either finishing top 3 or winning....

I just would like to see a $550 on the opening saturday and a 1k the middle of the 2nd week. You can have as many $200s and $300s as you want as long as you have these two events. This prelim schedule is the pits.

Johnny, is the only non-rebuy mega the midnight $270+$30 mega?

How many players do you anticipate for the midnight mega, and how long do you expect it to last?

Johnny,

You specifically label several of the tournaments "re-entry" rather than "re-buy". Does that mean that
a. Only after you bust can you get more chips?
b. Do you stay at same seat or do you redraw a new seat during re-entry?

Thanks.

Generally in the neighborhood of 80 players. The last 2 months have had 100+. 1st place a few Saturday's ago was like $9300.

The midnight mega and the last chance mega at 10AM on the 4th are both non rebuy events.

My guess for the nidnight mega is between 60 and 100 runners, based on our last 3 of these.

Operators in Mississippi were required to make a change in verbiage, due to an interpretation of our current regs.

As such, what you would normally considered a "rebuy" tournament must now be called a "re-entry" tournament in MS>

Answer to above questions:
a. You can purchase more chips any time you have a stack smaller than or equal to your original starting stack.

b. You saty at the same seat when you purchase "re-entries".

Hope this helps. If you have any further questions, post them here, or call my office at 228 386 7253
