In December at Harrah's, 18th place in the $1500 paid just under 5k (top 18 got paid). It still left 51k for first. Though that was a little over the top, it made it more satisfying grinding it out for 2 days.

What people need to remember, the reason tournaments were so top heavy was there weren't as many to play back in the day as there are now. Now there are many more opportunities for people to make some significant cashes if the payouts were flatter.

Especially considering the economy, a flatter payout structure could keep the players coming back. With a flatter structure, a min cash in an earlier event will allow them to buy in to several more events.
Interesting payout ratios...

One other side note: In September, do you intend on bringing the SNG's back into the main tournament room. I found myself only playing one this last trip compared to the 10-12 I usually play. The main room creates such a better atmosphere not to mention being able to keep tabs on friends playing in the regular tournaments.
I respect your opinion, but please don't make the payouts flatter. I like them just as they are.

Bringing SNG's back to the main tournament room though -- now that I could support.

We will be looking into this...anyone that wants to chime in on the SNG upstairs vs downstairs debate, please do so.

I don't play them, but upstairs has to be a lot better in terms of drawing people IMO.

Upstairs IMO. The atmosphere is more attractive and I think it would draw more people. However, I don't play many of these (probably would play more around big tournies of they were held upstairs, though).

Upstairs!

my sole complaint ever about Borgata poker is separating the sngs from the main tournament area for this last series.

i liked it much better when they captured the "crap, i just busted" traffic exiting the room.

also i liked getting a machine-generated receipt when i registered for the sngs, as opposed to scribbling on a clipboard and getting nothing.

no....not just that...it seems this was a universal sentiment...in fact, I didn't hear one person say they liked it better downstairs.

There should always be at least one dissenting opinion in America.

I vote downstairs even though I don't even play SNGs.

WPT Championship FT is 4/24, Borgata main starts a day later. So there's really no conflict with that.

High roller if it starts on 4/10 is on Day 4 of the NAPT Mohegan.

Tab:

Not asking for amounts, but will there be guarantees on the highroller and main event?

I mean as much as I love borgata, I love playing $8k and $16k usd buyins in a live tourney concentred with eurodonks in a place as beautiful as monaco! If the high roller is on the 10th though I will go straight from napt mohegan to borgata just for that before my flight to san remo.
