Thanks so much guys. Heads up with Matty Muffins was a blast, probably the most fun poker I've ever played (we started 80+ bigs deep). The match took about 3 hours. He had me on the ropes for most of it, but I managed to stay alive and caught a nice rush to win. I played with him from two tables down and thought he played amazing poker all day. Myself, Matt and Joe were clear and away the three most skilled players to make the final two tables, it was pretty cool to see us go 1-2-4. The kid who got 3rd (Mike) played very good as well. Joe making a run in today's event too last I heard.

Hey can someone explain the Super Survivor No Limit Hold'em
(1 in 20 wins $10,000) Wed, 1/25**3pm $500 +$60 to me? Does the 10 k in cash for every 1 in 20 come from the prize pool?

Good timing Peter! I think he bubbled. Good meeting you. The rail was pretty ridiculous. You and Matt must be rockstars or something. Good luck the rest of the series.

Yes the prizepool is distributed into 10k payouts with anything leftover going to the first person ITM.

Where would I register tonight for tomorrows event, the event center counter or the poker room cage? And what time does it close?

yes ($500 x 20= $10,000) think of it as an even chop once in the money, with 5% of the entrants paid

Thanks guys.

Question, I just registered for the next two days 11am events. Seat 8 in both tournies. I play a decent amount of tournies at borgata and I only seem to get seats 1-2-3 or 8-9-10. Do people request seat numbers when they register or do I just run bad at seat assignments.

Dealers are so bad. Flashing cards every hand, dont know the rules, painfully slow.

Or maybe he prefers cash games to tournaments. Maybe he even plays for fun?! Playing 180 live tournaments a year for 5 years sounds brutal.

How many does the $1k 6 max usually get? Will it be around 200 like last weekends $1k?

well this just goes without saying these days for big tournies here..

in event 1..in the poker room..with a full-time cash game regular dealer..he collects antes..about to cut the deck...the 2h...is the top card..falls completely off the deck and face up. he pretends like no one sees it..puts it back on the top of the deck..and tries to deal. im the only one who seems to notice..and go are u kidding me?. he throws a fit with me and says he didnt realize it flipped up and all this other bull****. i said if u didnt know it flipped over..why did u have to flip it back? he said for me to calm down and that he has to deal with a lot while dealing and thats hes not perfect. if this came from a "blue shirt" tourny dealer, i wouldnt have had as big an issue with it. But to be a cash game regular dealer..was just a joke.

i clearly ran like god in terms of dealers for event 1. i mean, there were some rough ones, but no where near as bad as event 1 in the WPT series--that shyt was awful. OTOH, where else are you going to get 1800+ runners for a one-day1 event? no problem w/ anyone expressing their complaints, but there are gonna be tradeoffs w/ that much value at stake.

i'm def biased towards Borgata, but they run a better tournament than anywhere i've played, which isn't a ton of places, but enough. also, nothing but nice things to say about Tab, guy is nothing but class every single time i've had an issue.

You usually reg early? Maybe they try to fill all the planned tables from 1-3, 8-10, then fill the inner seats?

Yea i noticed if u try to point out a mistake they get pissed and argumentative. I'm not really a complainer so i tend to let like 6 mistakes go and point out the 7th only to get berated by the dealer making the mistakes.

I didnt play event 1, but i did play a 200 person 1k and every dealer i had shouldnt have a job. The % of bad dealers seems to be increasing every series.

Tab, sucks that it didn't sell out like you hoped it would (20ish byes), but again.. maybe we should have a smaller buy in next time around.. Again I didn't play this bc I had a feeling it wouldn't sell out....It's not a pure heads up competition when 25% of the field randomly get byes (and therefore a much greater chance at winning, as having to win 2 h.u. to cash instead of 3 is a huuuuge random edge) a 1k or 500 heads up will get lots of players!
