I only have time to take one or two poker trips per year, so I want to make them count.

What's the best time to head to Europe? The looming Prague Poker Festival seems great, but are there better times to go to Europe? I'm mainly interested in the number of events in the shortest period of time, and the softness of the fields.

Thanks!

No comprendo.

Is there anyone out there who has played multiple EPT's or WSOPE and has an opinion on which has the softest fields?

havent played a ton overseas, but I think the consensus is EPTs are in general not too soft, but obv depend on location.

France and Italy tourneys will be best value in general I'd guess. Eastern Europe shouldn't be too terrible either.

That's just my general idea of the lay of the land...

Cool, thanks!

I've heard WSOPE isn't soft, but was hoping EPT's would be due to stars sats.

No comprendo otra vez.

More sats = more people locked into playing a tourney that they're not rolled for. Also more sats = more players in general = softer. You prefer to play against people buying in to big events with cash?

Everyone's perception on the degree of softness will be different. It's going to depend on your skill level aswell as the randomness of table draws, considering most players don't have significant volume at these events anyway.

The entire second half of the EPT season hasn't been released yet. But, I would think you could find a few week period in March/April where you could hit up an EPT and a WPT not too far apart.

What are you used to playing for live games where you live?

Where do you live?

What do you feel you are rolled to play?

Are you able to just take any time off you want or do you have certain times a year when you can take time away and go for a week + to europe?

Will you need to take into account travel and accommodation costs as well or are these trivial costs to you?

There are quite a few various tours in euroland, UKIPT, IPT, EPT, WPT as well as a few tourney series that run once a year.
