Is there any chance of more hotel rooms at the poker rate becoming available?

I would not say there is no chance, but it is incredibly slim. I would make alternate plans.

Johnny, should I just plan on playing 1C only if the earliest I can make it to Biloxi on Friday is 4:30?

I would think you shouldn't have a problem playing the 6pm flight if you get there at 4:30

You should be ok. 1B is usually the easiest flight to get in, simply because not many like the late start.

I know this is a hard tournament to staff, with that said approximately how many cash game tables will be open during peak hours of the series?

Any idea of how deep the ft avg stack is for the $350?
Beau Rivage Gulf Coast Poker Championship August 21-September 1 '14 Quote

Based on 1350 players:
1,350 x T10,000= 13,500,000 chips in play/9 players = 1.5 mil avg stack.

Blinds will Likely be between the 15-30k to -20-40k range, giving the avg stack between 37.5 and 50 bb.....

These are all loose approximations based on past events.... And a projection on the field size for event 1.

This tournament is actually a little easier to staff than January. We will have 37 tables in the ballroom, and in 2013 we had 16 cash games in the poker room downstairs, and maxed out at 10-11 games upstairs. The game types are listed below:

1-3 NL(100 min)
2-5 NL(300 min)
5-10 NL(500 min)
2-5 PLO (500 min)
5-10 PLO (1,000 min)
2-5-10 big O (1,000 min)
10/20 Omaha hi lo 1/2 kill(150 min)
4/8 limit hold'em(40 min)

There are no caps on any game in the poker room, and the MS straddle is allowed in all PL/NL games. On the opening weekend, Must move games are active in 10-20 Omaha , 5-10 NL and above, and 5-10 PLO and above.

Excellent turnout for the opening event. I think it cracked 1500 players. Not saying that the setup isnt run well at all, but currently there are 123 people on the 1-3 nl list, 80 people on the 2-5 nl list, 40 on the 5-5 plo, 18 for 5-10 nl, 15 for 5-10 plo, etc. Im sure a lot of the names on the list are replicates but would be nice to find more tables/dealers so people arent left waiting for hours to get a seat to play. Especially the for the higher limit players since some waiting will be gone by the time the game is called.

Good luck to everyone who makes day 2!

It has been a tough day... but in the last hour we have killed all the lists, and currently the lists all average about 15-20 people. Very sorry for the delay on getting into the cash games.

Had exactly 1,400 players for event 1, with 150 spots paid. First place is just under $65K, with $733 for a min cash.

Event 2 (Limit Omaha 8 or better $345) had 81 players with 9 spots paid.

TY sir. Oddly enough, we just cater to demand here.... Omaha 8 is our second most popular game, and we always get good fields for that event... Even had nearly 50 for a stud 8 event today...
