I am taking over the negotiation of sponsorship deals for one of the current Main Event Chip leaders. We have decisions to make re: timing and structure of deals. Also want help thinking out of the box (past the simple "wear a hat" deals). I also want to make sure he does not do any deals that destroy value later on by locking him in to less profitable deals if he final tables and goes super deep.

Many people in the poker community (like myself) will have little to no respect for your client if he wears advertisements for Absolute Poker or Ultimate Bet. There's no direct dollar cost associated with people thinking your client is an immoral scumbag, but it could prove to be troubling for him in other ways.

Yes, we got a deal -- a good one. Spent 8 hours dealing with this yesterday. He is still in it with 23 left. If anyone has non poker ideas for sponsorships, that is next up.

In terms of my experience...you will have to take my word for it he is in good hands.
