Also, good golly look at all of the double board bomb pot games on the WSOP cash game list. Most PLO, with one mix on there. No idea how many of them will make regularly. I also saw the Bellagio running one last night. If anyone plays in any DBBP games in the next few weeks let us know how it goes. I'm champing at the bit for my late June trip.

I'm here!

The new final table area is still covered by curtains. I asked security how it looks and he said it's awesome but has no idea when they'll take the curtains down.

interesting news.

Kinda sucks for most investors, unless they happened to get in in Feb or late last Fall. But one can't imagine the company will be run worse than it was under El Dorado.

IMO, you don't make this sort of transaction w/o planning on selling off a lot of pieces, and expecting to make a big profit from the sales. VICI, anyone

I think the only property Caesars operates but doesn't own on the strip is, interestingly enough, Caesars Palace. So, there is a lot of premium real estate up for grabs, including the Horseshoe/Paris. I can't think of any reason why this would indicate the WSOP may be looking for a new home, but one never knows. In any case... maybe we'll finally have functional elevator banks at the HS at some point.

It's hard to imagine the WSOP moving any time soon regardless of what happens with the Caesars sale. For one, there are only a few places that can match the total square footage of exhibition space they now use (they couldn't go back to the Rio without losing tables). The Venetian and Wynn have the space, but would they want to host Mandalay Bay might be an option if MGM wanted to take it on. It's also hard to imagine Paris and Horseshoe being sold to separate owners given how interconnected they now are. We'll see how it plays out. While I think akashenk is spot on that we'll likely see a couple of properties sold off to pay down some of the debt they're taking on, I'm betting they'll continue to at least operate, if not own, both Horseshoe and Paris for the next several years.

It really all depends on what's in the contract. GG agreed to hold the WSOP at a Caesars property as part of the conditions of the sale. I think that agreement would have to carryover in the new contract to the new owners.

But it's possible they excluded it. I don't know why they would so it's very unlikely, but still possible.

And if they did, WSOP would be a free agent and it would be interesting to see where they land. Maybe the Vegas Convention Center Maybe back to Rio Who knows.

But in 99.99% likelihood, it's still in the new contract and it will stay where it is.
