Thinking about coming down for the main Saturday and staying till Tuesday. What are the biggest NL holdem games running and what do you think will be running for these days?

I haven't been paying the most attention, but seen multiple 5/10 games running daily. Saw a 25/50 going a few days, I think it was either NL/PLO or just PLO though.

I am in Fort Lauderdale for the week, and went to the hard rock casino for the 1st time.

The poker-room is nice and the dealers are very good and some are super fast. Basically all the staff is professional.

Yesterday I played the 500+60$ and was lucky enough to finish 3rd , but what the heck about the payout the process ?!?! It took exactly 60minutes to get my money.

Not the fault of the lady at the cashier or of the manager ( who was very friendly and speak with me in french when he realize that was my 1st language ) . Just the organization is bad i guess. I mean that would be so simple just to leave envelops with the rank and the prize written on it.

If u cash at the playground, the PCA, the other EPTs, etc its like 5 minute max b4 u got ur $$$ especially for a 4 digits.

Hey JPP, I played at the final table with you last night, you knocked me out, I can honestly say I have never had an issue getting paid out at HR before, always takes about 5minutes. Could be due to internation tax laws *not sure* either way seems pretty absurd.

Yea I can confirm this, we had a bit of a wait Friday morning trying to cash out. First the vouchers then another line for the cashier. There are worst things, I guess it's a good problem to have if you want to look at the bright side.

Ill pay a premium if Anyone has a bananas hookup....

Hmm, maybe i just dont notice it. Seems to take less then 10min total to get voucher upstairs and go wait at the cage

Upstairs they gave me a paper at the small cage, it took like a minute or 2 and told me to go to the main poker room cage. Then, there was no lineup, and i gave the paper to the lady with my IDs and casino card. And it last 60 minutes untill i got my money.

And to continue with my rant, I was told by a manager earlier this week, that if I play a satellite for the main ( 3500$ worth ) and I win, because I am canadian, they wont give me the seat, but instead, 2200$ish in cash and taxes paper work.

Just ridiculous ! ! !

I mean I go to the WSOP almost every year for the last 10 years, and I can garantee u that if u win a satellite whatever if its for a 500$ tourney or for the 1 000 000$ one drop, they 're gonna gonna give u the full value of it and will tax u.

If the WSOP can legally do it, I really dont see why the hard rock cant. And its a federal tax, so it has nothing to do with the state of florida.

Same story for the minimum profit b4 u get taxed. At the WSOP it has to be 5000$ minimum. At the hard rock, they will tax u no matter what the profit is.

Ill probably just stick to cash game.

I cashed an event at last year's april WPT stop at the hard rock (2515 profit), and I was not taxed on my winnings b/c it did not exceed 5k$ in profit.

read his post, it was regarding being taxed as a Canadian resident for cashes under 5k at the Hardrock while he isn't taxed at the WSOP in Las Vegas for those same cashes

We have been working on adjusting this policy concerning foriegn wins by guests from countries without a tax treaty and not having the ITIN card and we will continue to. Our company takes a very conservative view in this area and the poker team understands the effects on our tournaments.
