Since some of the notes couldn't fit in the post:

When the Feb. 6 $500 NLHU reaches the final 4, it becomes best of 3.

The Feb. 18 Mega for the $500 rebuy pays 1 out of 10 players, each winner gets a $500 entry PLUS a $500 rebuy or add-on.

The Feb. 20 Commerce Bounty Championship has a $500 bounty on every player.

The Feb. 26 $5,000 NLHU is limited to a field of 32.

Any way to put either the $1K or $1500 bounty on Tuesday instead of having them both on Monday 2/20?

+1

If you build it, they will come! The 1K triple draw you had 2 years ago had 40 something runners.

Working on the structures now and the bigger the buy-in the more chips the tournaments start with.

Also level times are longer in the LAPC than our other series, you will be quite happy.

Triple draw should not be a 1k. Should definitely be a smaller buy in, 500 at most. I'm compelled to suggest that it should be a $300, just to see how many runners you will get at the basement level buyin.

I already said in that thread that people in Florida think that's the first mil guarantee ever for less than $1,000 buyin. I LOLed given that we've had about 6 or 7 mil guarantee for $125 and $350 in LA since the start of the year.

Really, for 125$ I just started getting into tournaments, so I was really excited about this... But I guess its more common then I thought. Well florida's still trying to catch up after coming out of poker purgatory, at least this year has been a good year with regards to that.

300 or 500 are perfect for the triple draw, idea is to get the fishies from downstairs to take a crack at it!

Am i going to be the first to ask what the WPT foundation event is?

I would like Matt's input on something re: this issue.

Matt, when it comes to non-Holdem games, how does the amount of dealers available for work factor in? Are you trying to maximize the rake generated on any given day, and are you also trying to maximize the amount of dealers in the tournament room every single day?

If you are trying to maximize rake and dealers, I think smaller buyin is better for the non-NLHE/PLO tournaments. These days if you put a 1k buyin on a random game format, you will get a small number of runners and maybe not any runners at all.

The only reason I ask is, maybe there's a random day where you think you won't have enough dealers so maybe you want to throw in a tournament that won't get many runners, which would be understandable since it runs the whole month. But barring that, smaller buyin = better IMO. get those downstairs players to learn a new game!
