I would like Matt's input on something re: this issue.
Matt, when it comes to non-Holdem games, how does the amount of dealers available for work factor in? Are you trying to maximize the rake generated on any given day, and are you also trying to maximize the amount of dealers in the tournament room every single day?
If you are trying to maximize rake and dealers, I think smaller buyin is better for the non-NLHE/PLO tournaments. These days if you put a 1k buyin on a random game format, you will get a small number of runners and maybe not any runners at all.
The only reason I ask is, maybe there's a random day where you think you won't have enough dealers so maybe you want to throw in a tournament that won't get many runners, which would be understandable since it runs the whole month. But barring that, smaller buyin = better IMO. get those downstairs players to learn a new game!
