I got lucky enough to make it to day 2 in the event back in august. the mtt started at 6pm and ended around 2:30am-3:00am w/ 20min levels. I'm guessing the late 6pm flights will end around 4am-6am+ this time around with 30min levels.

the $400k has the same exact structure.

So my question, this is $3,000 dollars, and not tournament chips, right?

Isn't that the equivalent of 13x your buy in just for making it to day two, for the 2nd (and more) day 2's that you make? That seems pretty big, but after looking at the structure, how can they possibly get to the top 4% in only one day? can anybody confirm?
Answer re $3K for additional stacks for Day two qualifiers: You will be paid an additional $3,000 in cash value chips payable in US Dollars on top whatever cashout you have earned at the time of bustout for each additional stack that is removed from play on Day 2. It is customary for the Bicycle Casino to pay out in cash value chips that are then cashed out at the Cage. These chips are not the same as tournament chips or satellite chips.

There are usually only between 280 to 380 runners per flight, and you'd be surprised at how they panic when they get down to 20BBs. This is the 4th Mega Millions Series that the Bicycle Casino has put on. The last two, which are based on the current structure, usually get down to 10% in 9.5 hours and get to 4% in 12 hours. There is only one Day 2, then a semi-finals on May 4th, then a live streamed final table (www.liveatthebike.com) on April 5th, complete with commentators, hole cams, and video graphics.

The current economy is preventing the Bicycle Casino from doing the higher Buy-ins. There also is not enough interest in the mixed games right now, attendance has been steadily decreasing over the past 24 months. The 2nd tournament I ever final tabled was a Winnin' o the Green $345 NLH Event back in 2008, it was the lowest buy-in event on the schedule that was not a muliti-rebuy. How times have changed...

I like the mill guarantee (great concept, good structure) but the bike can def add in a $1-$2k main event to all these series that would get 200-300 entrants

Would you rather invest $1K for a piece of $300K or $250 for first place prize of $300K? A lot of people do invest $1K-$2K in the Mega Millions because they believe they are getting a better value on their investment, at least that's what people that play the event tell me. The last two Mega Millions events exceeded the $1M Guarantee by a few hundred thousands of dollars.

Well, I'd rather be able to do both. I didn't suggest removing the mill, just add a 2-day main to these series with buyin $1k+. As I said I like the mill concept (have played in the past & plan on playing again) but would still like to have a main where I can make $100k in 2 days on a $1-2k investment.

Yeah, I agree with you, that it would be nice to have a bigger buy-in main-event. The WSOPC series went well with higher buy-ins, so a $1,500 buy-in event may fill well, particularly if there are enough satellites leading up to it. I forward your recommendation to Mo Fathipour for him to consider for the L.A. Poker Series in June.

Thx marie its appreciated, I know mo is pretty receptive to suggestions regarding his tourneys. With satellites & proper advertising (which the bike is pretty good at) Im pretty sure a $1.5k main with a $250k guarantee would draw numbers.

Wow..its sooo crowded tonight. The bike wasn't ready for this. They have some td's and floor people dealing.

This is going to go way past 70k. Not bad for a $75 buyin

No. But The Bike is a client of mine, I manage their social media and I am a member of PokerNetcast, the company that runs "Live at the Bike."

There were 805 runners, approximately 600 add-ons, the prize pool reached about $89K, that's 150 more than the posted guarantee. Expect much of the same for the $400K and $1M guarantees.

Played the Sunday Quantum Reload on Sunday night and it had 375 players.

We were at 27 around 3 AM. I busted 26th, but I heard they chopped the final table at 630 AM.

Weekend deep stacks will go to 5 AM but the Million sessions usually end around 3 AM.

I agree that adding a 1k or $1500 buying Main Event to the end of these series would be a good idea. With megas being run before and proper promoting, this would be quite successful and great way to highlight the conclusion of the series.
