Lock yourself up, put everything else aside, and don't take phone calls for the duration. A good part of the last third sprawls a bit, but the psychological back and forth between Tuco and Blondie in the first two thirds is easy to overlook or see the very least of if your attention is intermittent. One of the tricky things about the flick is how the moral codes of its characters play out against each other, especially put to the test under pressure. The many cruelties and kindnesses in the movie can seem much more accidental, willful, or simply put there for spectacle if you let the outside world nudge and pester you while you're watching it.

Probably? Lol. The Godfather Part 2 is a ****ing masterpiece. Easily the best sequel ever made imo.

just got old flicks sent back and new ones on the way - got a 4 day weekend coming up after Sun. so might have a shot to get thru them but the weather is turning cold fast - might need a few more outdoor activities before I start

+1 the best part is the Vito growing up and coming to America, I like that part more then the current. FWIW to who hasn't seen it, this isn't a spoiler.

Once Upon A Time In America, I just dl'ed it, really want to watch it and hopefully like it.

ive been on the fence of whether or not to watch the godfather III. ive seen the first two and love them alot (i love mob films, some of my favorite)...but ive heard poor things about the III and don't want to be duly disappointed. i'd rather revel in ignorance than to have my heart broken (ala matrix). thoughts?

While GFIII is not the masterpiece the other two are, it's still incredibly entertaining.

GF3 is okay, but the acting vacuum surrounding sofia coppola brings you out of the film almost every time she's on screen.

This. She makes the movie much worse than it should've been.

I think you posting this put it in my head to rewatch it, just as good as ever. Remember when it starts, it's the blackest of black comedies.

I have way too many movies that I really want to see to list but at the top is Blade Runner. (Yeah, sorry Dom, I never watched it.) Perhaps a little off topic, but not entirely, I have never watched a single episode of The Wire and feel like I must be really missing out. I'll definitely be adding that to my netflix queue soon.
