See article about capture today in Mexico of American citizen/drug lord. I guess the crossing of the USA/Mexico border by criminals isn't a one-way street.

Zero...Afghanistan is still the number 1 producer of poppy, with over 90% of the worlds supply. They aren't cleaning up opium fields. In fact they are helping the "terrorists" grow their poppy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNqIrDKnNE8

The violence in Mexico is mostly due to marijuana, which accounts for over 60% of cartels revenue. Legalize and regulate it in the USA, and there goes 60% of their business right there. That would be a great first step to ending the ridiculous violence in Mexico that most people in USA are somehow ignorant of.

La Barbie is quite famous, I didn't know he was American. Interesting that the article you link calls him blonde. I think most Americans woulnd't count him as blonde, however, most Mexicans would.

The Barbie's lawyer is scared of him being tortured in prison. I am more scared of him escaping prison. I know I shouldn't feel this way, but when it comes to these criminals I prefer hearing news of their death more than the news of their capture. I can only imagine how less brutal the drug wars would be if Chapo hadn't escaped prison in 2004.
