Mr. Baseball,

Blackbird is now complete, so you can binge.
Slow Horses is really good, too.

So far I have seen Ted Lasso (loved it), The Morning Show (started strong but seemed to get a little worse each epsode), Severance (weird but intriguing and I DESPISED the cliffhanger ending), Shining Girls (hard to follow, all over the place with multiple time lines and very strange but I kept watching so there is that), Prehistoric Planet (meh), Greyhound (solid WWII flick).

So is there anything else that is really worth it. Quality seems higher than other streamers but not a lot of content. I can't imagine paying for this unless they get a lot more content.
I wish I would have read your post 3 days ago, lol. Just stayed at an airbnb with Apple TV and binged Severance. Loved the show, but I don't watch shows that aren't over as a rule. I didn't check on this one first though. Ugh, that ending. We watched the movie Finch also, it was pretty good. Guy working with me watched Cherry and said it was good. The Beastie Boys doc I thought was really good.

As for suggestions of what to watch, I second biggerboat's recommendation of CODA. Excellent movie. I would also add The Tragedy of MacBeth, with Denzel Washington in the titular role and Frances McDormand as Lady MacBeth.
Yeah its not really the money but its a PITA for me to use. Its not on my smart tv or amazon contraption so I have to watch it using my xbox as a receiver which is cumbersome. First world problems If they had more content I would pay up for the actual apple receiver.

Is your Amazon contraption really old? It is on my old one and I have a newer 4k Fire stick that you need if you want to watch the apple and other stuff in 4k, if you have a 4k TV that is.

Just finished all ten episodes of The Offer. One of my favorite shows of the last 5 years. So much fun. And 50 years after the release of The Godfather. Just fantastic.

I wanted to like the offer but the guy who played robert evans just bothered me too much.

I mean bro you don't need to copy his voice and mannerisms and entire persona so exactly to the point where if I close my eyes I think it's actually robert evans talking not some actor.

how about a little originality???

I mean the dude just literally BECAME robert evans which totally ruined it for me cuz when I watch something I expect to see something original and unique not just copying exactly what someone else did how boring.

The Captain is brilliant. Only 1 episode in, but it's something else.

I'm feeling left out. How do you know what Robert Evans is like, down to all his mannerisms?

So much good stuff if you go to the 'Watch Entire Seasons' section of the Android (google TV) section of the app or do some google searching for stuff like this - https://collider.com/best-shows-on-apple-tv-plus/

That being said, I just canceled Apple and a few others. I am down to just Netflix and Prime for now, but will probably add 1 or 2 more when winter strikes.

he was on talk shows all the time and he narrates the documentary about himself, The Kid Stays In the Picture.

check out his audiobook narration of the kid stays in the picture and then watch a scene from the offer and it will blow your mind.

or just watch any interview video of evans on YouTube.

i can't think of any other depiction of a real person by an actor that was as spot on.

depp did a fantastic job with his portrayal of hunter s but even that wasn't close.

I've seen Mathew Goode in a few things, but this performance blew my mind. So good. And it wasn't a caricature.

The Outlaws season 2. I forgot about this show, but it's really good. Written by Stephen Merchant.

Just started watching season 2 myself. It's good but not great. I watched that Blackbird last week and enjoyed it.

I find Merchant weirdly entertaining in everything I have ever seen him in and Walken is great in this too but some of the other characters are very hit or miss for me.

I just started Ozark. I’ve been passing over this show so much on Netflix but heard good things about it and decided to start it. So far, I’m three episodes in and really into it.

Unforgotten on Amazon because I adore Nicola Walker. It is a Masterpiece Theater production.

Finished Black Bird. Pretty enjoyable but not super great. Worth a watch.

Pretty far into Trying. This is a lot of fun. Clever and funny. Would recommend.

Just started Bad Sisters So far so good. We'll definitely keep watching

Finished up the Heaven's Gate Documentary on HBO Max. Crazy stuff. The documentary itself was probably a bit too long but definitely worth a watch.

We are noticing that Apple TV seems to have more shows that we enjoy lately. They seem to be better quality. HBO max is a close second now that Game of Thrones is on. We do watch stuff on Prime but we haven't seen anything we find interesting on Netflix in quite some time. Might drop that one.

Pet sitting all weekend and watched both seasons of Only Murders in the Building. Both hilarious and sad at the same time. Handles themes of loneliness, isolation, and aging well. Never liked Martin Short, but he's great in this.

Watched a very interesting true-crime doc series on HBO called Mind Over Murder. It's about a rape and murder of a woman in a small town in Nebraska and the 6 people who were charged with the crime and the cop who investigated it. Very well done if you like this sort of thing.

Also just finished S1 of Slow Horses on Apple TV. Really good British spy show with a fantastic Gary Oldman as the cranky old leader of a group of misfits. Had some plot holes but all in all very enjoyable and the 6 episodes flew by.

Mentioned this in my previous post, but I enjoyed Slow Horses on AppleTV a lot. It's a British spy drama but has a lot of humor to it also. Gary Oldman is great in it. Only 1 6-episode season but I believe it got renewed for S2.
