LOL. I know exactly what you mean!

Usually when I am in a group of people I like to think I am one of the smartest of the bunch, which around here is actually true 98% of the time. But in TLDV I would have to say it lets me feel like the lower end of the spectrum. Not saying that is a bad thing but... Well, I know how you feel.

As a kid, when you first went to school, there were always a few. Those that could not fit in, even with the misfits. Those that developed slower......not nice to say, but the morons. There were a lot at that age.

Then in hign school, there were not as many. Still some were left back. Some could never understand negitive numbers or speel properly. Yes, still quite a few morons.

University and now there are entrance requirments. In theory much tougher just to get in. But still a few get in. Some that even with dedication and hard work, could not meet the minimum grade or drank too much to even find the class. Yes, even morons in University. Just not as many.

But is there a place? A land? A universe where I have to admit????? Here I could be the one? One of the few? Intellectually and sociallly? And socially this is hard on the internet.... Yes, it seems the mythical place exists. I have found my home. Finally I have reached my level.

Here, I often feel like a moron.

Thank you Loungers
This is so good.

Out in the world, in schools, in workplaces, driving, at poker tables....I tend to be at or near the top of the heap, smarts-wise.

Here, sometimes, I feel like I should be in constant danger of being exiled back to (insert other forum here), just for dumbness.

Yet, my civility is on the rise. Note how I did not name any other forums.

Thanks, Lounge!

I don't think anyone mentioned diddy

diddy,

You're another person who I feel like I'm not nice enough to. May all your weed be good ****, and all your future girlfriends be sane.

I think my earlier post about John Cole came out wrong. We got off on the wrong foot, but now I know you're a good guy who treats people well here.

I also agree that people get left out when names are singled out, and I do think a lot of Lounge posters as a whole.

I give orange a ton of credit for dealing with the hoodlums in the NL forums. Not only are they ill-behaved, the advice is... Actually, I thank all the mods. It is a truly thankless job you have.

That is actually a really great point.
I second a huge THANK YOU to all our mods! You do a great job.

Well thanks for saying so, but Katy and I have it relatively easy. Wook does a tough job as do many others in the less civil parts of the site.

I used to mod OOT so I know what a nutso forum's like to run...I don't envy mods that run forums like that.

Thanks loungers for making me feel like there are nice sensible people on the internet. My confidence is swayed sometimes.

We've lost more good posters to attrition than most of the forums at 2+2 have ever had, including many of the ones that are much older.

The last thing he was lost to was attrition.

I'll take a little credit, and thanks for giving it. But the lounge, which really is the only forum on this site that i sort of understand, would never have been created without diebitter. he was was willing to sacrifice perhaps thousands of forum friends and many points of forum credibility to get this thing going.

still, if it weren't for katy all that work and sacrifice may have been for naught. she has epitomized this forum for me and since i did have some say in it's continued existence, it was for sometime never an option to close it as long as it pleased her.

and finally, there is mr. wookie, who from my perspective, deserves the most credit for the lounge being what it is today: Mr. wookie, the hairy, dancing, beer-guzzling monster who in the end makes us all feel protected and happy to be posting, dancing, and drinking away here in The Lounge.

Don't forget me.

I didn't do anything, but I just like being mentioned.

There were many hands involved in creating this forum, the most significant one not mentioned being Blarg. He was the one of the keystones in fact (and I don't mean like the Kops).

To list some not already mentioned (or brought up by themselves!) We must also include Sniper, Pryor, and ironically, El Diablo

Send El Diablo a thank you note. Show him your Taoist side, diebitter.
