Aw that looks like fun! I watched the whole thing. At first I thought it seemed kind of dumb but I confess that half way through it made me feel really good. My favorites were India (where he starts doing the arm movements along with the women) and the Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada. It would be so cool to have been part of it.

I like the dog dancing with him at the beginning, and I really enjoyed watching the wave crash on him down on those rocks.

I showed a hipster friend of mine the original video a while ago, and he told me it was "so wrong for so many reasons." He never explained why. The video makes me happy. Maybe some 2+2 hipster can explain to me why this video could be at all considered negative.

Not a hipster, but based upon my knowledge of their kind I assume he would feel that the hipster group as a whole would not like it because it's touching and completely unpretentious. So he decided to go this way. Of course, since he has no brain, he can't tell you what's wrong with it. Just that happiness and joy is uncool.

I liked it. It made me happy. And the guy in Paris that comes in from the side and eats it made me lol.

There are always going to be people (hipsters, at least most of the ones I know, fit the bill imo) who come and feel they have to launch into a litany of why they think something like this is contrived, or corny, or too mushy-mushy, or too idealistic.

I'm not a sappy person whatsoever, but what really touched me about this was the simplicity of it all, how it emerged from a normal guy who does this stupid dance who decided to quit his job in order to see what he was hoping are beautiful things around in the world. And by doing this, he made something beautiful, and got to see all these amazing places around the world, all while doing this stupid dance that everyone can identify with. It's like showing a very humbling, dorky side of humanity that everyone can identify with and laugh with, and combining it with something that is amazing, the beautiful, remote, and foreign places around our earth.

That sounds so idealistic and maybe a lot of people didn't get what I did out of this, but I seriously can't remember the last time something that didn't involve a loved one almost brought tears to my eyes. For some reason this did, and I think part of it was what Popinjay reiterated from the youtube comment secion, the fact there is so many ugly things in the world going on every day, and getting to see him, these places, and all these people from all different cultures just having fun really reminds you of the beauty that exists in every day life, and in traveling the world.

what is your definition of a 'hipster?' i consider myself pretty hip, as in to whats going on, whats cool, etc. and i loved this. i think anybody who can find a reason to not like this, isn't very hip at all. 1 guy dancing all over the world with all different types of people, with no distinction between classes, couldn't get any more hip. any hippie should be proud of this. its a view of what we wanted all along. people loving each other for no reason. great stuff.
