I'm listening to Husker Du's Flip Your Wig. I've always loved their last 2 albums, but Wig is winning me over lately. In fact, it won. It's great. I still can't get into Zen Arcade, though. Too rough for me.

I'm listening to Matthew Sweet. I've Been Waiting, Girlfriend etc. I like the power pop. His lyrics could be better though, a little trite.

I like rock "music," not necessarily rock lyrics. Melody doesn't matter to me as much as passion and pure awesomeness. I like noise-rock, and noise music in general. I like the chaos that it brings to the table. Lyrics are a very small small part of my musical taste.

i remember my brother owning this tape when i was younger...this album holds up surprisingly well even tho it sounds dated as hell...the tunes are actually pretty good.

Haha, I was just looking at that thread earlier today. I need to come to The Lounge and post about music more often than I have. Also, good choice with The Royal Scam, might be my favorite Steely Dan album but I seem to change my mind every week or so.
