It was banned in several US radio markets, because the term 'rumble' was a slang term
for a gang fight, and it was feared that the piece's harsh sound glorified juvenile delinquency.

Iggy Pop stated that he "left school emotionally" at the moment he first
heard "Rumble" at the student union, leading him to pursue music as a career

When making the video for Cloudbusters Donald Sutherland noticed Kate having a quick spliff
“Be careful with that stuff, it can damage your voice “
“I’ve been doing it for the last 15 years mate”

An ultimate Garcia guitar attack out of Miracle into Shakedown.

Massive amount of UMass-Amherst psychedelics in the building that night; rumor has it some found their way back stage to the band during the set break, and this is what they returned with.

About Cole’s corner
After a melancholic reflection on the loneliness and desperation of life the song ends with a beautiful woman turning up and the the lines
“Fancy a pint love “
“Not half “

My dad courted mum mainly by dragging her around mediocre sporting events held in Stoke under iron grey skies in the pissing down rain,
She still married him

Reminded me of the crush I had on Tawny Kitaen back then - she did this movie with Lee Curreri of "Fame"-fame (Bruno), Crystal Heart and while it's a cheesy movie, she made quite the impression back then.

Bonus Tawny:
Spoiler:
RIP Tawny.

i assumed this was a widely popular country music crossover because it gets so much airplay in China right now

song been stuck in my head for weeks now so finally spend some time googling the lyrics and tracking down the artist, turns out he's a complete unknown back in the US, i've seen this happen before but it's always been expat bands who pandered to local tastes, things like translating Chinese songs into English etc etc

Michael Learns to Rock has made quite a career of just singing English lyrics to Chinese songs like this

wiki intro:

Quote:
Michael Learns to Rock (also known as MLTR) is a Danish soft rock and pop rock band formed in 1988. The band currently consists of Jascha Richter, Mikkel Lentz and Kåre Wanscher. Søren Madsen was an original member of the group since its formation but left in 2000. The band has sold over 11 million records over the course of their career, with the majority sold in Scandinavia and Asia. Despite being Danish, the band performs songs in English. The band has attributed its success in Asia to their drug-free, clean-living image and to singing in English as a second language.[1]

MLTR has earned Gold and Platinum status for records in many countries and won many awards, including the Gold Preis Award from RSH, Germany and "The Best Performing Act of the Year" at the SEA Grammy Awards in Singapore. In addition, their song "Take Me to Your Heart" was awarded "most downloaded single of the year 2006" with 6 million or more paid downloads.[2] The band has recorded nine studio albums as well as a number of live and greatest hits albums. Their latest studio album, Still, was released on 21 March 2018.

During the peak of their popularity in the mid and late 1990s, MLTR was described by critics as being "as good (if not better) a band as any current big name group out of America or the UK or the Australia."[3] According to the band's record label releases, their sound is "the perfect balance of a Scandinavian glow and the international pop song that has been instrumental in forming the compelling sound of the band",[4] although the lead singer and songwriter, Jascha Richter, disagrees with this, maintaining that the music defies geographical categorization.[1]

Phil Oakley is probably the only pop star the be grown up enough to say “”When we tour our job is to be a Human League tribute band, no one in the audience is interested in tracks from our latest album “
