No matter how highly rated Concrete Blonde may be, they're still underrated.

Their first 5 albums are scary good. Never managed to live up to what they had post-(first)breakup, but everything from '86 to '93 was magical.

It all sorts of equals out, everyone raves about Prince’s guitar work on this (correctly)
But listen to Jeff Lynne singing

As I have said many times the beauty of music leaves me in a state of confusion

Above video, it shows how good that Jeff Lynne and Prince are that you can dismiss Tom Petty and Steve Winward as filler material

I love Prince but can't not automatically think of the Dave Chappelle sketch whenever I see him.

Time pointlessly spent bickering about Lynne, Winward, Prince, Petty, Orbison et al. could be better spent listening to

imo.

Thanks buddy, just added another girl to my list of impossibly beautiful singers , causing my brain to go into another whirl; sticking with Sade at this time .
Let’s avoid the agony by listening to some blokes

Sade was great, but Lana is on a different level from pretty much anyone.

Even her ads surpass most of what others put out as actual music:

Kate Bush says Hi Lana love you , but you should have stopped wasting your time and stayed in bed

In the nothing gets by me department note that the song is about a woman dying during childbirth and uses the line “There’s a little life in you yet”
