Sunday - NFL football at my place.

Sunday night - cocktail party at my place with my brother, my gal, another couple, and even a date for my brother! Then it's off to Caesars Palace to see the show, Absinthe.

Should be a fun weekend!
How was your weekend, Dom?

Nah, the Jim Carrey version, which I enjoy greatly. We will of course also be watching the proper version

Yes, the Jim Carrey version is good. But you're jumping the gun there. We have to celebrate Thanksgiving first before we get to Christmas movies

I'm not sure diebitter does much celebrating of Thanksgiving.

LOL, Face it they make booths in restaurants too small! They need to take into account us normal people who fill out a little and do not still have that girlish figure they had in High School.

I mentioned last week that I found a "leak" in my company. My job is to theoretically expand the company. From the start, I've been more concerned with why our current clients aren't giving us more business. The problem is that if the company can't fix holes that cost up to 10% of potential earnings, I can't see how expanding will fix anything. Maybe I have an overactive imagination, but is it valid to think this isn't the only hole, and perhaps expanding may actually implode the company?

No, it isn't your imagination. You are just doing your job. Be gentle, this is definitely a kill the messenger situation.

Based on everything you have said about your job, I would not be surprised if there were other issues with the company. In addition, I think you would be able to strictly look for other holes instead of looking to expand and nobody would notice. At the end of the day, you still look good as you are the reason the company is making more money (or losing less as the case may be).

Eh, ok. Long day ahead of me and I cbf. Other than that, things are cool.

So last night my GF and I were in the hottub(naked for those that like to mentally picture 50 yr old out of shape hairy guys with hot girls) a bit drunk, having a converstation that kept going from serious to silly.

I told her she was the most amazing person I had ever met and was so amazing I had stopped sampling the 99% of the population I had not got to know and that likely has even nicer people than her in it, as she was too good to lose on such a long term search. I am soooo smooth...

I think I need to learn to stop speaking after 13 words. At least she didn't take it as "I was too lazy to keep looking for someone better" lol....
11-16-2011 , 11:59 AM
Such a hopeless romantic
11-16-2011 , 12:02 PM
Yes but did she give you some for those words?
11-16-2011 , 12:18 PM
Well, she can't dump you while you have cancer. That would make her look bad. Didn't you ever see Seinfeld??

Seriously, good for you...it's always nice to realize what you've got.

It's not about how you say it. I'm happy that you have an amazing person to share your life with.
