Pictures taken when I drove to the store last night with the sun setting and mist rising over the fields. The first one is on our road:

New puppy, crash?

German shepherds are awesome. Some bloodlines are very dog-aggressive, though, so they can be hard to handle. Might lunge for another dog and drag your daughter along through crossing traffic, in other words. Or just get in a nasty situation. I guess you probably know your dad's dogs. German shepherds can be awesome, if they haven't been bred to be too aggressive. Very smart and loyal, with good personalities and a good balance of energy vs being able to mellow out, IMO.

Emme and Ohead: Owie!

Foot pictures are not gross people. It's a foot. I don't get why it would be a big deal.
08-03-2010 , 09:39 PM
I didn't understand what was the big deal about the period stuff.

Agreed. Women bleed. Fact of life.

Also, my ankles are a weak genetic link. Sprained them more times than I care to remember.

Feet are so amazing, and I welcome pitures of them (I've seen far worse than that). Our feet take 2,000lbs of pressure with every step we take. The structure of them ensures that not only will they take that pressure, but all that pressure spreads away from our feet into the ground. The fact that we are just learning how to apply this concept, with the assistance of computers, makes it totally reasonable a scientist can accept intelligent design.

LoL

Yeah, women bleed: fact of life. Yet another good reason to dislike baths and shower curtains.

Agreed. German shepherds are amazing dogs if you raise them right. They are playful, quiet and happy to the point you think they're stupid, though they are quite smart and insanely loving. Hands down my favorite kind of dog. Maybe a lavadore is better, but a good argument is made either way.

I am one of those people who just find feet to be really ugly, though not gross, so I suppose I misspoke.

Obviously I have ugly feet or something.

Amazon has the complete Battlestar Galactica Blueray for $133 on sale. Calling Blarg, now's the time to pull that trigger if you haven't already.

Must be A although that's not the definition I know, but it fits with the general idea.

Thanks for the heads-up. Don't have blu-ray tho.

Neither do I; I just always assume everybody on 2p2 is some high balla and I'm the poor one.

I never thought much of feet until school. I discovered that me feet are not only aesthetically ugly, but they are "structurally unique." If you have hairy feet, shaving that stuff off makes a huge difference.

Do you think being helpful to others is a choice we make or is it just a reflex some people are born with?

Lately people have been screwing me over more than normal, I always get screwed over lol, I'm a sucker. These are strangers not my friends btw. Like this guy tells me he needs a garden hose to fill his camper with water. I don't sell them at my store but I offer to lend him mine. Been 3 days and he has not been back to return it yet. I think it is more likely he got in a car accident or something and could not return it than he decided to just keep it. Totally in denial.

Part of me wants to get mad about it and never offer to help or trust anyone again. That sounds like living hell tho.

I remember this one time I was far away from home when I was just a young kid. I was all alone and the starter on my truck went on me at a gas station. Some total stranger came over and helped me. My truck was a standard and he pushed mine with his so I could throw it in gear and start it that way. He damaged his truck helping me. I felt horrible and asked him for his address so I could send money to get it fixed as I did not have much money on me at the time. He refused even tho he mentioned that his wife was going to be pissed when he told her the story of how it got damaged.

I imagine his wife yelling at him...

"Why you got to be so nice to everyone! I should have never married you!!"

Shaving feet? Sounds very di.dsian or Hobby's future husbandian.

I find that I generally have to make a conscious effort to help people. It makes me feel absolutely awful. I mean I realize I AM helping them and all, but why can't I just naturally and instinctively want to do it?

In general I think helping people is a learned behavior.

Spending time downwind from politics forum, probably.

Very good. Yes, it can be a general hodgepodge of things or specifically the meat thing.

Brag: I knew durian, palimpsest (Gore Vidal!), clathrate, and condign. Here's a link to the game. There's a second batch of words up now.
